What is the Caldari sentinel's role on the battlefield?
From my experiences it was a breach and clear heavy but after this buff to Gal Assault I feel like my role is to be a wet paper sack waiting to be taken out by a Gal assault...
Let my sniper see far, and my Bolt Pistol kill many.

I've always viewed it as the go to AV sentinel. It never was good at CQC in my opinion because all it took was one flux and it was done for; it certainly can't compete with an Amarr or Gallente, especially one with a good logi on it.
Most of what I see around here is just a bag of dicks in need of some kicks.
Dust really needs its high sec.

mm, they are the "cowardly" heavy.
by which I mean that you don't stand toe to toe with other heavies, run away from groups and if possible attack from far away.
you need to hit and run, use cover, basically do anything that you can to give your shields chance to recharge. don't forget that most players tank armour and reps if you run like a little girl when your shields are gone you will have full health back before the enemy heavy..
unless you see a logi bro combo coming and cant take out the logi and don't have the ability to kill a tanked up heavy extremely quick.. in which case...
RUN.
if you see a flux grenade.. RUN
if your good with weapons like a forge gun or maybe something that fires a little faster. use distance

Tank sheild and a recharger or two,grab assault hmg. Easy kills and no need for logi except for ammo. The milita heavy frame alone works pretty well with triple milita sheild extender bpos and a recharger. I think mine has like 666 sheild and a 50shprecharge at 2.50 seconds? I got dual milita weapon bpos. I only pay for a complex regulator and recharger. Probably 6k isk for a hard to kill suit.

The calsent fits that description... when compared directly to the amsent.
It's king if you can exploit range and makes a phenomenal forge gunner because it can recover fast. AHMG is the only weapon worth running in close.
If you hit the armor sent before he's ready then you'll probably win.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.
