As long as vehicles compete with infantry for the role of slaying infantry they will be balanced 1v1 with infantry.
That's not my definition of a tank, but DUST doesn't have a role for a modern tank. There is nothing for it to do other than hunt individual infantry units. Can you imagine tanks being used that way on today's battlefield?
In DUST an HAV is just another suit for a player to wear that does the same thing other suits do. Thus it can't be any better than any other suit. If tanks had a unique niche destroying something that infantry wasn't good at and were wasted going after infantry, then they could be harder for infantry to kill in return.
Piloting vehicles sucks, and it will remain so unless and until CCP gives vehicles a unique role. |

I can agree with this statement.
It also means the Forge Guns and Plasma Cannons don't feel like actual antitank weapons, which irks the bejeezus out of me.

The fact that Komczak did 5279 damage to me supports that he did that solo.
(3700 initial armor - no shields - with four-five rep cycles of about 300 bring the HP total lost close to 5000-5200. I counted five cycles there.)

I was more responding to the reactionary posts of "ALL MY WORK IS WASTED". You don't have the same tendency to flip out over the slightest change that many others seem to.
