removing dom isnt going to solve anything and if people que it most often then maybe that's because more people prefer it

there's plenty of people that want to play the other game modes so squad up and que up and stop complaining, if so many people didn't leave matches because they apparently don't like it rather then having a legitimate reason to leave perhaps match quality would be better and the matchmaking algorithm would work like its intended to

Ambush is worse. Way worse than domination. Just saying.

I wont lie.... even I have quit a handful of games over the past week or two. I for one have always thought of myself as a stubborn individual who will make those reds know my presence even if I am scrubtastic with a 6 or 7 man team vs 16!

Actually had this exact scenario last night with a couple of friends.

Sadly most doms are no where near as laggy s most skirm maps, I think that's the main factor.

Probably the same problem as everyone else lol. Here we have a guy that CHOOSES to leave the "Domination" option activated when searching for a match. Then he ragequits, cause you know, hes just too important to even try to play the map. Which, ruins it for the people that do want to play by leaving a side a man short.

Then he comes here onto the forums and says the whole mode should be abolished because its been ruined by people who quit before the match even gets underway. WOW.


All he would have to do is not queue for Domination, but no, hes too good for that. Its his right to queue for a mode he dosent want to play and leave it worse off with his sissy temper tantrum ragequitting.

It's a great question and is definitely the correct answer. However I'm not sure I have much faith that those efforts will take place. CCP has never really tweaked the dials to increase the action. They'd have to undo years of ingrained player behavior.

It used to be a lack of ISK that kept the masses down, they had to play conservative most of the time. But now with trading it's very easy to play very reckless while increasing wealth. Increasing payouts would make people so wealthy that it really wouldn't make sense to keep the asset loss model.

go to the battle finder and when you are on the public contract tab press square scroll down to domination and click the box so that it doesn't have a check then press circle and que up

there problem solved, oh you don't like waiting? too bad suck it up and deal with it go play FW or PC or better yet go around to all the whining brats and tell them to do exactly what I said so that people can stop complaining about game modes they don't like

out of even less then 1k people I guarantee that at any given time there are at least 100 players queuing up for any given game mode so if you cant get in to the one you want then you are probably being too impatient and cancel out after 2 mins of waiting

if you want to guarantee that you can get into a battle quickly then que up for any losing side in FW as those timers are usually as low as 10 seconds

or you could help out and get reinforcement introduced so mercs can simply join ongoing matches without making others suffer from queuing directly into an ongoing one

the premise is simple team A has x amount of players more then team B you join directly into team B until A and B have the same amount of players and you get a list to choose from of the ongoing battles

squads would only be able to join matches that lack the amount of players in said squad or more so if you are in a squad of 2 then team A has to have at least 2 more players on their side if you are in a squad of 4 they have to have at least 4 and so on

incentives to join ongoing battles would be slightly higher payouts of even a fixed amount for winning say 100k isk and possibly extra SP

this would fix (or at least alleviate) two key things uneven matches 16v5 ect and long timers (you can que up for fresh battles or simply choose from ongoing ones to get in as quickly as possible)

I would suggest to not show the matches status other then amount of players and time elapsed since it started this way players wouldn't simply que up only for matches that they know they would benefit from but instead join any match they want in hopes of turning the tides and winning

If I leave a match it's because one side isn't fighting, whether that's my side or the other. I choose to not waste my play time in poor matches. The frustration comes from others not playing the map or the objective.

The reasoning is simple; They arent playing because a few people with your mentality already left the game, leaving it unbalanced and discouraging everyone else from wanting to play it.

Maybe if there was a significant deterrent to people leaving 5 games in a row, game quality would improve, as people would try to make it work instead of going "Im such a good player, I refuse this challenge".
