This is probably correct, I tried remembering off the top of my head, which I only remembered he was a merchant in Florence who probably had no clue before he died that a continent was named after him. Martin Waldseem++ller and Mathias Ringmann (Germany) was there first geographers who draw The Continent bassed in the Cartography work "New World" of Amerigo Vespucci, they give the name it America (Americas) in honor of him.
Because the sintaxis and grammar of spanish, we have to put a accent, but... the real name was "America".... so this is more confusing
