America is actually a Spanish name. Or Latin, to be precise, but the origins itself is Spain. |

It actually derives by the name of the italian (or to be more precise florentine) explorer Amerigo Vespucci. Maybe you're referring to him as a spanish because he worked for spanish reigns but that wouldn't make him nor the name America spanish.
This is probably correct, I tried remembering off the top of my head, which I only remembered he was a merchant in Florence who probably had no clue before he died that a continent was named after him.
Regardless, it's latin, which is much closer to spanish then english.  |

But I'm not one to blame a facility for a communities decision to sound 'simplified', in most countries that have several different dialects within there own boards *Take japan, india, and china, for instance* you'll notice there's a 'proper' way to speak and an 'improper', and if you want to have a shot at success you need to learn to communicate, properly.
Problem with Southern America vs those countries - it's a self-reliant part of the country, if they separated from us they'd be fine, where as China, Japan, and India, if they even attempted separation starvation would spread like the black plaque.
and in India's and China's case, there issues and policies leak into the countries around them.
