Considering we had the NF vs Cronos... FEC (Fu Gé¼k EON Coalition) war, Renegade Alliance war, The Blue Donut /DNS war for 100% (we did get 99.5% :D), and then the Geezer War (I feel it is appropriate for the old names involved in the 0.H+RGZ vs world, war) we need a name for the current one of Bleeding Suns vs Rust...
I propose the following name:

Well, if we want to get semantic about it, considering the name is, as you stated, it makes sense for an English speaker to annotate the name down to America (4 syllables vs 8) and then to use the plural, Americas, to denote the land mass we used to form our name. Considering only the pedantic amongst the world's population would question as to which country on both the North American and South American continent would have the gall to represent themselves just by the name America when several nations inhabit said space. Realistically, only the really slow amongst us would miss the reference to which nation you speak of when stating 'America', once again, because it isn't the plural form which would denote the land masses (as there are two, separated by the equator into North and South).
Just saying.
ETA: weird Freudian slip on my phones autocorrect had changed country to company... albeit, one could argue the American government, as well as the rest of the governments in the Americas, operate more like a company then one would hope, it is still not correct to denote them as such. Sooooo... I fixed it :)

As a revisit to the above, it would make sense to say
Americas vs America
However, many amongst your side are American, as well, so it would be offer the false premise that it is solely American players vs players who inhabit other counties in the Americas

Considering that I have seen John Ripper and SoTa pop in threads discussing this. That would be true... but a lot of the people posting about it are fighting, actively, for districts... so, it is hard to classify the whole thing as such.
The 0.H one was more forum warrior-y with the plethora of 0.H alts just spamming every thread and talking as if they had an effect on the outcome.

No problem :) figured you might not understand the usage, so I tried to give you a thorough response in hopes you would understand the usage after that. It can seem very egotistical at first glance without knowing why... but the fact that America (and to some extent, a portion of Americans) thinks they can speak up for the rest of the Americas is truly egotistical.
Unlike Spanish, tense and plurality is very hard to comprehend in English, making it one of the harder languages to learn... hence why it is spoken so poorly on the forums. As well, ownership and the structures of inference are so convoluted that must Americans give up and speak as plainly as possible in hopes someone won't misunderstand them... this is particularly true of the southern states, leading to the belief that they are all stupid because they try to use the language at the lowest level possible to get their point across.
