I disagree, and I do know better.
The build is highly optimized "given" the content. You can argue that the content itself is wrong or right, but the game is optimized as well as possible on the PS3. Everything that DUST has and other shooters don't, costs performance.
And you are right, performance issues can't be hotfixed nor solved in a client patch, or we would have done it months and years ago.

Do they not represent optimisation performance gains? I appreciate that these things are not hotfixable, but good luck trying to dispel that idea.
Those are still an option as they are not engine optimizations but content streamlining, much like SKINs.

swap your harddrive for an SSD. That's supposedly a guaranteed performance booster as the textures are too big for the memory on the PS3 and are read from disk.

The stacking penalty on dmg mods in the display is not showing correctly, works in game, "just" a display bug

It's really annoying and it's a thing that hasn't been fixed since beta. I could use a calculator but it would be much easier if it's just displayed in game.
it was added in Warlords 1.1 or 1.2, so certainly not since beta. I don't rate it a high value bug.
