Some improvements should be made to vehicle door lock systems. Being killed at the beginning of battle in Factional Warfare and having your tank ride off without you as the driver sucks. 1 If the doors are locked the doors should stay locked for squad/corp members only. Or make it an option the squad leader has control of. 2 there could be an option in the vehicle menu to reclaim the cost of your now stolen vehicle from the thief who stole it (current driver). In the case of selling someone a vehicle the base cost of the vehicle are worked out, after all your just applying the cost to the current drivers wallet (wemake isk and aur every day that would pay these costs during thieft). 3 In the case of a drop ship have an auto pilot that will fly it as safely as possible back to a red line base after kicking out any non squad/corp members. 4 have an option to eject non squad/corp members from the vehicle, the door looks would reactivate to allow your squad/corp members to retake the vehicle from teammates. In the case of reds stealing your tank your screwed if you got out in the heat of battle and they hack it (should be added directly to the drivers assets if its taken by the opposing team and survives to the end of match). 5 make the drivers seat locked to only the person who called out the tank, like a key system. Once its been hacked by reds its been hot wired right, everyone can have a joy ride no keys needed, just remember your screwdriver. 6 Be spawned in from the start menu in your vehicle (O my, one of the best ideas I read yet). Make the timer take an extra 3-5 seconds to spawn. I guarantee lavs would get used way more often. For dropships have them released from mid-lower altitude with the pilot in it, If the pilot decides to drop down and pick up squad members or teammates is her/his option. This would save from getting rammed by ground vehicles. This deploy with vehicle could only be done from the spawn screen and only at one of the designated red line bases.
Of the ideas I've read #1 and #6 are my favs, although #1 appears to be the easiest to implement. #2 isn't a bad idea either. |
