Bring back 1 to 2 minute Warbage pre game
Let the leavers leave before the match even starts, and keep filling up slots until the game starts. Most people who drop out of a match do so at the very beginning because they're either cowards, or something went wrong with their squad.
Let people troll around in the warbage again before match, and this should help sort things out a bit.
It's already kind of like this in FW and I have yet to see too many people leave in those games, so just extend the warbarge time a bit in all matches and see what happens.
Also since the primary development drive seems to be solely on SKINs, this would help build appeal since people could show off their E Bling more often. (wasn't aware they apparently aren't showing, that's just hilarious) |

I really wish people would stop blaming matchmaking. The only problem with match making is our incredibly toxic community that cares more about farming a couple of ISK and protecting their KDR than actually playing the game. I happily fly and drive my tank against full Q synced squads and lose 1-4 million ISK in any given random pubs (woo solo \o/) That said, I don't expect most people to play that way. This game is frustrating and boring enough without trying to force people to play against groups of no life try hards when they have no real support on their team.
Not everyone likes the view from their redline. |

Knowing you are going to go broke and not be able to play how you want to play even after winning is a very bad thing for the mentality of others on your team. The mentality of others on my team is basically the last thing I think about when I play. The Risk / reward of this game has been broken for years, either you live and die by it, or it absolutely doesn't ever apply to you.
I'm poor by rich merc standards, and I still have a long way to go while playing recklessly before I even have to consider refilling the coffers.
There's no point playing it safe in this game. |

So you are telling me the idea is to accept things are broken and instead attempt to keep applying band aids to the negative effects of those broken things and hope we get it all working? I'm not the one who removed the games budget, moved most of the devs to other projects, and went silent.
So I don't feel obligated to play by any rules other than my own.

I am not arguing that you are obliged to play by any ones rules at all. I am simply saying don't use your acceptance of a bad situation as justification for that situation to continue. Justification is irrelevant, I've simply shifted my optimism elsewhere. You can feel righteous all you want, it won't change the fact that you're trying to scale a mountain while wearing a speedo, and all you have is a box of toothpicks. |
