It's also not just the suit but a combination of GalAssaults running rail rifles. Maybe I've been getting grouped up with the same players over and over, but it's something I've taken notice of. I thought everyone was on the Min and AmAssault trains. Heh.

Why the galas? It's fast, it's reppy and its tanky. Plus it looks cool af. My personally fit- 1 complex Kincat, 2 pro ferroscale, 2 pro reps, 3 krins, creodron breach ar, creodron ion pistol, Allotek flux, and nanohive. (Saving sp to reduce pg and fit scanner). Try fitting a proper racial fit in it- 2 plates, 2 reactive, and a cardio regulator. It's tanky but slow. Minmatar- idk I'm just gonna guess people are bored of it now. Especially, if you have properly maxed core skills. I had a shield tanking fit on the GalAssault that was reinforced with a pair of a heavy plate, or a pair of ferroscales. Just enough eHP performance from both shields and armor... PLUS retaining your mobility. I was using mine with a TacAR (the recoil control benefit REALLY helps), but if peeps prefer the RR nowadays, who am I to argue?

Trade a tiny rep bonus and a bit of a speed bonus instead of having a bit of an hp bonus, a big stamina bonus, a much better weapon bonus that applies to a much better weapon? When the going gets rough, I usually pull it out since you can use those Reps very effectively with cover. The AR's large clip size helps immensely in mulitple engagement environments (Ive been running solo a lot so its a little rough). If it gets stupid on a long range map, sure I will throw the ARR on for some added range, but the CalMando works better in the end. That LP CalMando with all Krins Damage.... Ouch. I put a Prec Enhance and Adv Scanner since I run solo so much. Makes a huge difference in awareness. I prefer the Scrambler Pistol as the sidearm though. You get some nasty head shots with that thing pretty easily.

The bonus is trash It's a great bonus, but the standard AR isn't as good in CQC as it should be, and the Ion Pistol is riddled with bugs. Put your flags up in the sky. And wave them side to side. With Gal Suits you can tank, you can Rep tank, or you can find a healthy dose of both. I had suits for direct fire, for rapid action, initiator roles, and straight up high damage. If the Assault Rifle variants, excluding the beastly Breach, were up to par, the Gallente would very well be the best damn fitting style in game. Anybody remember when the Tactical rifle was actually popular? Or the Burst? Was the burst ever popular... I don't recall. In all fairness, I think the Minmatar and especially the Amarr need more focus, if they're still having the same issues from a year ago. Amarr needs to be the bulky bully. As far as I know, Gallente ships are fast, armor tankers, and super reps. Fit a Gallente assault with a Kincat, 2 ferroscale, and 2 reps, you have a beauty. That Caldari assault seems squishy. I recently unlocked the Flying Scotsman or whatever and have 4 CPX Extenders, 1 CPX Recharger, and 3 CPX Regulators. It's wonderful. Also changed the weapons to the PRO Vanilla RR and STD Magsec *Scouts United* Gk.0s & Quafes all day.

Gal assault is the first suit i skilled in , now i have all assaults though i prefer gal with duvolle and creodron ion pistol, sometimes IARR lol yeah it was my first proto suit back when it only had 4 low slots and a ******** bonus to shield recharge rate. I remember being one of the only dudes running assault in PC during the logi slayer days. I thought i was smart thinking the would buff it someday but sadly i respeced out of it and never looked back. I used to be all about gallente stuff and had the heavy when it first came out. Usually somewhere at 700 armour and overreliant and over confident on their scrambler, they get done in quick. But the gal assault.... Ooh boy. One of two ways that one goes down. Mostly its assault rail rifle ones and they dance and jump. Usually over armoured. But some of these vanilla aassault riifle ones(or any of the rifles,excluding the breach). Boy does that get serious. And you never know if they might actually have fitted a ion pistol and not just defaulted to and smg. Mighty dangerous. Tch, like that matters. My AmAss consistently does better than my GalAss at any range when I slap an AScR and two complex armor reps on it. Out of all the proto Assaults I've played, it is the only one that I can confidently 1v1 heavies in... which shouldn't even be a thing because Heavies should have the advantage in straight up close quarters fights. I haven't played the Caldari Assault yet, but the way I rank things in terms of what I've used goes like: AmAss > MinAss > GalAss

Out of all the proto Assaults I've played, it is the only one that I can confidently 1v1 heavies in... which shouldn't even be a thing because Heavies should have the advantage in straight up close quarters fights. I haven't played the Caldari Assault yet, but the way I rank things in terms of what I've used goes like: AmAss > MinAss > GalAss Poor little Caldari Assault isnt even worth ranking

Sure I have, usually just before a flux leaves my hands and they get turned into a fat, loud scout, then into a corpse.

Gal assault is the first suit i skilled in , now i have all assaults though i prefer gal with duvolle and creodron ion pistol, sometimes IARR lol yeah it was my first proto suit back when it only had 4 low slots and a ******** bonus to shield recharge rate. I remember being one of the only dudes running assault in PC during the logi slayer days. I thought i was smart thinking they would buff it someday but sadly i respeced out of it and never looked back. I used to be all about gallente stuff and had the heavy when it first came out. But my love affair with gallente has sadly come to an end. Gallente suit was always better because of the design limitations of the Amarr assault. How did they get around those? Also... if the Min was the same from back then... I wouldn't even put it above the Gallente suit. It was very usable BUT it was lacking and had a limited range of use. Only a few could use it well and they preferred a specific form of fighting.
