Michael Epic wrote:Imagine if you had to deal with you each day.....would you want to port Dust 514?
Would you want to design a brand new version for the masses to flock too and after all that work, still have to deal with you?
Would you want to continue your crusade and push your bosses and beg them for a port telling them it will be the best idea ever because 3,000 people (or so) say it would be? That depends. Are these paying customers? Do I receive a pay check on the 15th and last day of every month? Is that pay check enough for me to support my family?
Oh then yeah, I would continue to work on Dust 514 and push for a port to a newer, easier to work on platform. Moving this game to PC/PS4 would open it up to a larger audience and thus allow it to earn more money. And when this game, that I have worked on for so long, finally begins making big bucks who will my company look to? Who will they blame the success on?
Me.
That's right. I put up with the minority of whiny players. I carved spreadsheets into my arms. I came in early and left work late. Me. I did that.
And **** you for suggesting that angry customers might deter me from my goal. My customers deserve a quality product and they cannot have that on the PS3. I want the best for my customers.

The rest of the team lurks on the forums and we don't go for their throats.
Honestly, it sounds like you assume everyone on Rattati's team is a thin-skinned noodle creature. Adults can take criticism and use it as a form of feedback.

I was a Dust player WAAAAAY before I was an EVE player. I started playing EVE during Uprising 1.7 when they introduced super dirt bike tanks and the biggest rage quit era in any video game era happened upon us all. I don't play either game now but I do like to browse the forums and I'm part of the FB group because I have one small shimmer of hope left that they will port this game one day. So yeah Scrubby, I have an opinion and I get to share it just like you do....so deal with it. You and little Willie take care o7 [Pictured above, Deo makes a valid, if a little difficult to understand, point about Eve Online players not giving Dust mercs the time of day. Michael Epic replies with ad hominem dique insults.]

Little Willie; - The very first British tank (and the first in the world at the same time) derived from a number of projects dating back to the early 1915 stalemate. Then the first ideas advocated less for an armored fighting vehicle and more for a way to clear up barb wire, which was usually covered by direct, accurate machine gun fire. The alternative at the time were night operations by small detachments, but these were tricky. A noise (tin cans were often attached to the supports of the barb wire), a flare, and then heavy fire caused havoc on the raiding party. Later, other experiments included the reintroduction of the cuirass, various man-carried protections, but each time they were shown to be of little use against bullets, prone to concussions and the legs and arms of the operators were not protected. A big wheel with spinning hooks mounted on the front of a Holt tractor was the preferred concept at the time. But the need to protect the driver and the evolution of military thinking led to the "land cruisers", which ultimately never left the drawing board.
F!cking idiots...learn something for f!cks sake. Yes, because references to 1900's battle tanks is within context of this conversation I don't have a dog in this race, but I just thought it funny that someone took you to task and you called them a scrub for doing it.
Don't let me interrupt you. ETA on your next ragequit thread?

Michael Epic wrote:Insecure? LOL please...you shouldn't try to do psychology sh!t. I mean really all kidding aside..I get bored at work and its hella fun to troll the p!ss out of all of you because you get so easily bent out of shape about EVERYTHING.
I mean I make a tank reference, in a game with tanks and no one gets it. You guys are morons...I'm getting paid to troll you guys and play with photoshop and take pictures and edit them and be an asshat. Its the end of slow season for our business and I'm making a mix CD, working on lyrics for my new track on the way soon and just messing around lol
Besides, have you seen my fiance? She's real cute and I'm not even abercrombie model looking...I look like a homeless guy, actually ahaha and yet she loves and adores me.
Oh yeah, plus she's rocking a flawless grade 2ct diamond solitaire on her hand set in platinum....so, insecure? Nah. But I like to chat with you all and I like to occupy my time at work because I'm not playing Dust anymore and its rather liberating to just laugh at all of you still plugging away pew pew'ing with your dropsuits and fighting for ISK lol
Once I quit playing this game, I felt f!cking amazing. You should try it too :D First, you post that this community doesn't deserve a port because we're mean (?). Some people disagree with you and call you out on some minor bullshit. In response you pile on insults, ad hominem bullshit, and how much better your life is.
You are worse than insecure, you are a hypocrite.

Which is a personal attack against me. Thus I responded. End of story. That is what you consider a personal attack? Some might call that being thin-skinned. Do you have that delicate of a constitution? I don't think you do. You have the opportunity to be a bigger man here.
Earlier you said that you had a glimmer of hope for this game being ported. You also said that one of the flaws in our community is how toxic we can be. Your OP says that we might not deserve a port because of that toxicity. If you truly believe that, then be part of the solution.
Act like an adult and don't take a fraction of a sentence like the speaker gutpunched your sweet aunt Daisy.
