Its been a year or so now? There has been trolls, discussions and heated debates about the future of Dust 514. Will it go to PS4? Is Project Legion dead? Has CCP given up on Dust 514?
Lets examine this topic indepth....
Imagine for a moment, you wake up early in the morning. You roll over and sit up, hanging your legs off the bed and planting your feet firmly on the ground. Its Monday. You take a deep breathe and let loose a very heavy sigh. You know its time to go to work and deal with the Dust 514 community. You feel like this might just be the day you quit...but then you remember the mortgage payment is due next Thursday and you are on your feet before you know it.
You get dressed, eat breakfast, brush teeth and check out the news or your Clash of Clans game and then you're off. You dread going to work because no matter what you do, no one is ever happy. You think about your day talking with fellow CCP employees, reading the newest batch of B.S. on the forums and the endless streams of complaints. You really do or did at one point, want to make this game amazing but you're only one man and you can only take so much.
LAG! DROPLINKS IN WALL! AV UNDERPOWERED!
You stumble in, say hello to your coworkers and log on to get to work and you deal with the mercilessly pathetic, abhorrent, negative and despicable community that is Dust 514's remaining player base.
Imagine if you had to deal with you each day.....would you want to port Dust 514?
Would you want to design a brand new version for the masses to flock too and after all that work, still have to deal with you?
Would you want to continue your crusade and push your bosses and beg them for a port telling them it will be the best idea ever because 3,000 people (or so) say it would be?
Probably not.
Its my opinion there is no talk to a port because we don't deserve the port and we don't deserve to know. Why would CCP reward us with such information when all that goes on here is negativity and just flat out mean people acting like douchebags because they're protected by their keyboards?
I'm just saying....food for thought.

I have suggested and advised many times for CCP to use Kickstarter.
I feel like they don't because they don't want to be accused of copying Star Citizen.
I would donate to a kickstarter campaign gladly for some cool stuff and the promise of a brighter future for Dust 514.

Listen Scrubby McScrubbingsteen, you and little Willie don't know me so don't presume to try and know me. I was a Dust player WAAAAAY before I was an EVE player. I started playing EVE during Uprising 1.7 when they introduced super dirt bike tanks and the biggest rage quit era in any video game era happened upon us all.
I don't play either game now but I do like to browse the forums and I'm part of the FB group because I have one small shimmer of hope left that they will port this game one day.
So yeah Scrubby, I have an opinion and I get to share it just like you do....so deal with it. You and little Willie take care o7

The very first British tank (and the first in the world at the same time) derived from a number of projects dating back to the early 1915 stalemate. Then the first ideas advocated less for an armored fighting vehicle and more for a way to clear up barb wire, which was usually covered by direct, accurate machine gun fire. The alternative at the time were night operations by small detachments, but these were tricky. A noise (tin cans were often attached to the supports of the barb wire), a flare, and then heavy fire caused havoc on the raiding party. But I like to chat with you all and I like to occupy my time at work because I'm not playing Dust anymore and its rather liberating to just laugh at all of you still plugging away pew pew'ing with your dropsuits and fighting for ISK lol
Once I quit playing this game, I felt f!cking amazing. You should try it too :D

You don't get it do you? I'm really wearing thin. Look, let me try to explain....seriously, on a serious note.
Materialistic things don't matter in the scheme of things, however....I worked really hard to be able to give my fiance the very best I could. I'm not Brad Pitt, I can't rock a 3ct diamond but I can rock a 2ct diamond and my fiance is beyond thrilled. I could have gotten her a .25ct set in silver and she would have been happy as a clam.
But I got pride...I'm a proud man. I'm proud of my life and proud of her. I got two boys who aren't thiefs, smokers, drug users, drinkers, liars or cheaters. They're good boys. They play sports, they are polite and respectful. I got a bomb ass family, my dad is a professional knife maker who is known in the community and sells at Blade in Atlanta every year. My fiance is obtaining her masters degree in psychology, I'm making music with a producer that has come out of retirement and worked on Digital Underground's "Humpty Dance"
I got a lot of things to be thankful for and proud of and you want to reduce it to "materialistic" things and "GJ buying affection" and "butthurt posting" and "I'll keep loling into the night".
So yeah...you can expect me to get pissed. I've busted my ass for everything I have. I sold everything I owned to make a song called Way She Wobble and became homeless sleeping on mama's couch and used that song to buy the house I live in.
You don't know me...but you pretend too. What for? Why? Answer me that and I'll f!ck off and leave you all be.
