How the hell did this guy ever think that carrying ALL THAT in a CAPITAL SHIP was ever a good idea? He was an idiot, moving within blops range of PL. Carrying all the stuff wasn't a bad decision, but the T2 tank and poofit subcaps show how dumb he was.
Considering the entire universe is within PL Blops range, touching a Revenant was incredibly stupid.

Not at all. PL can only have their fleet in one place. That fleet has a set range, for both blops and titan bridging.
Going through delve with a rev was very dumb, but owning a rev isn't. There are a couple way out in the drones that PL won't even go after, because in order to do it they would have to rack up huge fatique hits to even get within range, and would be spotted and reported before that.
Given the recent changes to null-null holes, the odds of them randomly showing up near you has been reduced as well. Provided you aren't rolling solo, you can have a rev, you just have to be smart about it.
This guy wasn't, and he died.
You would think no one here ever owned a super.

Forgot about the null-null hole changes. Derp. That does cut mobility drastically.

ah Ok thanks I didn't understand that, I just saw a load of posts of people converting ISK to $ and thought it was something which was sold.
The process of converting money to ISK comes in the form of purchasing a plex for cash (usually $20 unless you get a bundle pack) and then selling on the player market. That is how those dollar to isk rates are determined.

Yes that Rev was crappily fit, but only because he went full PvE with a dirt cheap tank, and had nothing like what you would want for fitting for travel.
Keep in mind, no amount of bling would have saved him in that situation. A couple of neuts and smartbombs might have, if he could clear the dictor bubble, but that is dubious as crap given the amount of webs fielded against him.
But its funny that you think that was the worst super fit you have ever seen.
https://zkillboard.com/kill/48130086/ that died yesterday, and is much, much worse than that rev fit.

Yes prop mods on caps and supers is a mainline tactic. It has been for years. Literally years.
I was talking down to you because I thought you were a newbro spouting garbage. That you flew with the biggest alliance for that long and didn't learn anything about caps is hilarious. Did you never wonder how those supers and caps were getting into warp in less than 25 seconds when the base time to warp is in the 90s range?
If you had asked around in corp, I am an *******. I don't care if I look that way.

I am guessing that was in nullsec? And he was freighting all that? And he fit such an atrocious ship? I know little about the physics of EVE, I am more of the lore learner, but I laughed when I saw that.

Yes to it being in nullsec.
Most carriers and supercarriers have a selection of ships in their ship maintenance array(SMA). It is a common tactic for carrier pilots to carry a Heavy Interdictor, one of the few ships capable of preventing a Titan or SuperCarrier from jumping. Then either another pilot in fleet, or the carrier pilot himself can board the Heavy Interdictor if the enemy drops a super on the field.
For travel purposes, having additional ships for your cyno alts is never a bad thing.
Given the cost of the hull, it would not have been unreasonable for this ship to be carrying a Nestor for emergency refits, although it wouldn't have saved him here.

While all us ground-pounders grind Public Contracts for ISK, the Capsuleers continue to horribly fit incredibly expensive ships and then lose them to Black Ops fleets.

I figured nullsec, mostly because i recognized the system. It is common knowledge not to traverse nullsec unless you know very well what you are doing. I am going to say this guy was an idiot, or was caught off guard, i am gonna go with the first.

I doubt that it is that low.
Rocket X has at least one, more likely two, and PL has at least one more on top of that.
There are 3-5 operating way out in the drones.
There is at least one more in delve/querious, the rumor mill says there is a Russian one logged off not too far from 319.
Then there are whatever ones are held by CFC and co.
Sadly more than half of them are going to be used as ratting supers until they get nuked. My best guess would be between 12-20 out there today, although some of them have probably been unsubbed.

Rare indeed, but most of that rarity is because you don't see them in combat that much, unless whoever is dropping it is very confident that it isn't a trap.
I had been back in eve for only a month or so when Rocket X showed up in low sec with his Rev and a couple of titans to mop up some carriers.
Some people dislike PL, but I respect them for bringing out the shiny toys to play.
I was doing some checking on Zkill, and it looks like PL have at least 3 active revs.
Although from the KB action, if anyone wanted to hunt Revs right now, it would appear there is at least a half dozen operating in the Delve area recently.

How effective is the MWD if your enemy knows what you're doing? Does it rely entirely on the enemy fleet not properly following target calls?

An MWD will get a super into warp in 2 cycles(20 seconds) If the super pilot has a nomad set, that drops to a single cycle(might need a single i-stab, not 100% on that one). Plus its a super, so it can't be scrammed. I haven't flown a titan, but I would imagine a driveby involves, landing, locking, propmod align, DD, warp to safe.
I can't say how effective it is for getting out of getting caught, as that hasn't happened yet, but for general movement, it is a massive time saver.
Truthfully, it isn't for use in combat, but for travel, and the avoidance of being caught. In an actual super fight, you would rather have either an extra utility mod(Armor) or more tank(Shield).
In the post jump fatigue world, supers do actually take gates now, and knocking a half minute off of each align time will keep your subcaps from losing their minds.
