Whatever happened to the Orbital Strike that was going to directly target the enemy's Warbarge? That would have been cool.

The base health on the MCC is ridiculous compared to a dropsuit. It wouldn't do all that much in comparison to the ship-to-ship or the null missiles.
It's hard to beat up hundreds of armor piercing bullets using only your face...

It would obviously have a much greater damage potential. But it would automatically be targetted at the enemy MCC, so it couldn't be used against infantry. I was thinking that it could do... maybe a quarter of the total MCC's HP worth of damage?

I'm not opposed to the idea, but 25% of MCC health might be a bit much. There would be no other form of strike used in a PC match, even at 10K+ WP. No other strike could offer the same kind of value. You could place the total damage at 1-2 tics of the MCCs armor, and it would probably be the most commonly used strike. |

I've heard that the largest Titan is something like 11KM long. I imagine that a MCC is something like 150M long.

Yeah, I remember that and I'm kind of sad it never came to pass.
One of the few good things about Ace Combat Assault Horizon was the HQ Assault game mode and how when your base was down to 10% hitpoints, if you took back the central objective that let you attack the enemy base, you could spawn in heavy bombers that were capable of wiping out the enemy in two passes at most.
It kept the battles really tense and made sure that even if you were getting stomped you had a chance to turn the fight around for a win. If Dust 514 had that, you'd probably have less people bailing on the match the moment they see players from PC Corps on the other side.
