They were taken away because they were almost impossible to kill and would run people over with no real risk. If they are going to be brought back they need a serious overhaul to make them part of the risk reward balance the designers are trying for. They also need to somehow incentivize using them for actual logi work. How do you propose CCP does this?
Now with more evil.

Make them slow, normal PG/CPU but give huge bonuses to stuff like remote reps, mCRU and scanner. Ta da you have a well balanced yet extremley powerful if used right logistics asset

Lol mi amigo loved it. Roll up, rep up and then he was gone in a flash. Thats all he did, avoid tank fire and repped teammates, giggling the whole time. We called it mobile electric dance parties. LLAVs = indestructible goodness.

Murder taxi +1 but when CCP nerfed the running over of **** you would have to be going almost full speed to get a kill, as opposed to the old rule of murder taxis,"whatever you touch dies."-Rule of murder taxi pre-nerf
I'd see logi DS as being cooler
Bring back scout lav's too then.

Can we get commando labs with two turrets then ?
While slow to anger and occasionally indecisive, they are also capable of harnessing enormous resolve when truly tested.

As long as they have relatively low speed, Logi vehicles would be fantastic to have back. LLAVs repping people, LDSs repping tanks... It would really open up the options available to vehicle users.
The actual Remote Repair module would have to work this time, and it'd be nice to have a choice between armor or shield repairs, not unlike what logis already want now.

If it was slow it would need to have higher base HP than a standard LAV. Besides the aV such a sight would inspire, one heavy could melt it. I would think that an invuln setup with a higher base shields 2 seats and standard speed could give the LLAV the time to rep and the freedom to get out of dodge. To prevent it being a slayer vehicle or murder taxi I would reduce it to one pilot and one gunner and restrict the turret to a repper turret. It was a pain to aim the repper before, making it a team vehicle would really let the LLAV shine while avoiding the murder taxi menace of before.

What if the logi lav was not a LAV or HAV but a MAV--the icon is just staring at us every freakin deploy
1. A multi-seat bus with its speed proportionally limited to the number of occupants. Driver only= slow, Full fire team= fast 2. No guns. 3. Armour/Shield variations just like HAVs 4. A mobile CRU and Supply Depot in one package 5. HAV skills apply as to utilize tankers who don't/won't tank anymore 6. It yields war points in the same way as uplinks and nanohives. (Hopefully that should offset the cost of the thing.) 7. Balance the HP with speed of the CRU and supply features through the modules just like the HAVs
The idea should seem familiar to any of you who played PS2.

The problem with Logi LAVs being over powered back then was the resistance stacking with the base resistance, way too much.
The problem with Logi LAVs not fulfilling their purpose is that the Repair tool, was too wonky and difficult to use.
If we were to implement the LLAV again it would either get a smaller Resistance bonus or just a fitting reduction to their defenses Hardener as well as a AoE armor/shield Repair tool.
I would also love for a supply depot style Module, when activated it allows for all friendly units to resupply it can be expended either by Nanites consumed or simply active time in which the former would also reduce the later variable.
Logistics Dropships are pretty much the same thing but I feel the Dropship should be target based but make it better than, if you lose lock (by sight) you wont become completely useless.
I dont know why CCP thought the extra vehicles were so broken they had to take them out of the game. All they needed was basic fixes to make them usable and viable, aside from that we are suffering from the same problem we had before.
What did they fix by removing vehicles? Definitely nothing they sought after.

LOL go right ahead and bring back the logi LAVs. MWHAHA my proto Minnie commando with a proto swarm & 3 complex damage mods are waiting. think about this- what made the logi LAVs so tough was the damage resistance (natural and stacking resistance mods) they could have. however those mods are gone now. yes shield/armor hardners could take its place but lavs have been nerfed in ehp. though 3/2 in slots can made a tough but low ehp lav but far from the old murder taxis. LOL I do miss the shield ones though due to it was the ONLY shield repper for ground troops. again that was before the caldari heavy. I really want back the logi dropships. |

It was said the MinMando doesn't have it's swarm bonus anymore... that's now the cal's if I remember correctly. :)

Prox mines on an incline or in the midst of a corner typically did the trick. Was always satisfying to get a kill on those.
Acquisition is terrible, matchmaking is terrible, your game is still riddled with bugs, you should feel bad.
