I'd like to see jump height as a visible stat. In general there's nothing wrong with it, it's super nice to be able to jump shin high walls in a triple plated suit.

There is no visible stat because, as usual, ccp just threw this out there to pacify kiddos?! It would probably read a ridiculous amount of jump ability, and melee output lol!

That something could have been added to all suits inherently by just increasing vault height to enable every suit to clear short walls, like the heavy should be able to.

I'm assuming that whenever you discover one, you run away crying and never look back.
Otherwise, you now have the advantage. As their ONLY advantage... is surprise.
Once you know they have Kincats, you know they can't leave their "stalking pit". One foot outside of its shelter range, and they're incredibly vulnerable. Their lack of accuracy is why they jump with explosives in the first place, so a distance fight is an impossibility for them. You can just blast away at them while they fiddle uselessly in the air with their sidearm, or try to fire a few errant shots into the floor around you.
This speaks doubly for crossing between regions of the map. They are most likely not going to attempt leaving their "safety" zone, because they can't fight outside of it. Those that do, try to keep inconspicuous so that they can reach the next area without incident.
Not only that, but as I said before, the jump attracts attention, so if anyone other than their target can see the jump, those people are now focused on that jumpy player... This also means that they can't use the jump openly. Individual targets trying to "rambo" a point are their favorite bait.
This is a tier of a visual obsession that affects many people, causing them to over-emphasize the importance of anything that simply appears with a high level of recognition. Case examples are KinCatalyzer jumps, and Tanks because of their size. Both get similar treatments from players because of their unique visual association.
----- out of curiosity ---- Do you ever try to think of the physical operation of a suit? So many counters can be realized if you just think around how a suit does work, and how it cannot work.

But when someone is right above you, jumping constantly you have lower chances of winning : - he only needs to aim down
While the one on ground has to maintain him on his sight.
Stacking pentalies are not working on them. They work opposite. It was never meant to be like that and people yet, defend their crutches.

scanner? whats that? you can see enemies on the radar? just use your eyes and save a equipment slot for something useful

Get rid of the troll gimmicks. This isn't how you get new players?! Add the ability to jump walls naturally without mods. Regular jumping height should make jumping small walls easy enough. Stop the madness. I agree i dont think anything should jump so high. Other wise disable shooting in mid air.
Starter Fit Suits are OP :-)

It's a play however you want with no guilt game fully customizable option the objective is to do the best with what you have and take on whoever you want whether or not its op. Nothing in the game really is but the playstyle not the suit, not the weapons (except those unkillable madrugars gaaaaah I hate them) but how its approached for every fit there is a fit.thay counters. Like a proto caldari assault with an ishukone ARR get an adv min with a gk13 burst AR it a std cal with it and approach from the side. Works every time for me. Or that mean proto heavy with that logi humping him? Go in up above with a min scout and an m1 locus grenade cooked for the logi catch the slheavy with splash and finish off with the shotgun

In the beginning, before we gathered all of these new easy mode players, dust was a tactical shooter. One of the issue was the lack of jumping ability. We asked to be able to jump higher to clear small barriers. Years later, when CCP noticed a severe drop in the playerbase, that started adding random garbage to the game. This jumpy mod was one of them?! They were only interested in fixing the jump ability when the opportunity arose to capture a new audience with some gimmick?! They'd retain a munch larger player base if they stuck to their guns. The ability to now leap through the air spamming splash dmg isn't tactical at all, and dust has far too many hit detection for this?! tactical??? Yes everyone playing dance dance revolution and who can stack the most armor reaaallly seems tactical I have no issue shooting people outta the air. This is best suited for city maps in wide open areas and over large terrain its useless so quit complaining.
