One, I don't agree with your feedback loop on specialist weapons.
For one, they exist from the FW market as well, so making them available for the PC market shouldn't cause much trouble. You must also consider there is a "hard cap" on Donkey Kong credits, so you would be limited to only so many per week, unlike FW where LP is unlimited.
The hard cap itself is quite a limiting factor to the amount of gear you can acquire from the market per week, so if we could find a proper ratio with price, we could make stronger gear available. As in the end, you would be very limited to how much you could acquire per week, no matter how much you PC.
Another idea to further reduce the gear to PC exclusively is to open it for trading. Can't get it via PC, then simply buy it from those that do and use it yourself to break into PC. (Or just do FW like we do now.)
The hard cap
The hard cap itself through is a key to this market. As I explained above, it should be taken into consideration a lot more when you consider what items could be brought to the table. Having a limiting factor like this should make it very easier to offer stronger gear and weapons if the prices is in the right place.
Being limited to 30 or 40 weapons(or any proposed gear) a week at max DK won't break it for anyone and no doubt still leave FW very attractive for staying stocked. This just offers those that do PC yet don't care for FW (like me) a way to obtain said items through a medium they prefer.
But really, be more mindful of that hard cap. Just imagine if FW was capped at 7000 points a week. Tell me what that would net you a week. The hard cap is a really great feature for the donkey kong market, and should be seen for what it is! A controlling variable for the gear available. Make the stuff trad-able and it's available to EVERYONE.
TL;DR In the end, specialist mods are a good idea, but with a cap in place it think we would be safe extending this to gear in all forms. Skins are meh in my book, not interested in them beyond what I can sell them for, but it's fairly obvious that many do want them, and the big man up top has already mentioned these are likely to be available. |
