Discussion as to what content should be a part of the District Kredit Market.
The DK Market should not be a positive feedback loop While I'm sure all of us want awesome content for the DK market, I don't think adding in a bunch of new, powerful stuff is a good way to go about it. Stuff like the Specialist gear in FW comes to mind but because FW is accessible to anyone and doesn't require a foothold in PC, it is a little different.
One thing we really should try to avoid, in my opinion, is just adding in more power creep; more stuff that is just better in some way. It would create a positive feedback loop in which PC players would play PC, get DK, buy awesome gear, and then use that gear in PC in a never-ending cycle. We want to encourage players to join PC, yes, but it shouldn't be a sort of deal where it feels mandatory to get the best gear or have it locked behind a difficulty wall.
If we do go this route though, the content needs to be prohibitively expensive. This can be tricky, but I think by giving that content high DK prices you could potentially make it work as each player is limited to 7000 DK a week and it is relatively difficult to obtain.
One suggestion that was made among the guys I roll with was 'Specialist Modules' - modules that have less PG/CPU costs. E.x: A Specialist Shield Extender that is prohibitively expensive (think 100 DK/each).
The DK Market should not be a copy/paste of the current market A lot of people are on the same page when it comes to a simple copy/paste of the current market. Having ISK items accessible through the DK market would create another currency to factor into the fitting menu and potentially create unnecessary hassle. There is also availability, as a lot of players brought up with the LP Market; how it just wasn't feasible to run LP gear with any sort of consistency.
There are also hybridization issues - problems that come up when you try to restock a fit that has both ISK gear and gear from another currency. If you run out of that currency than you can't restock the fit. Henceforth, it becomes difficult and a lot of players just don't want to deal with it.
Further more, a lot of PC players are well enough off on ISK that we'd likely just abstain from using the DK market in that case anyway - so it would fundamentally devalue PC 2.0 as a whole.
So what can we offer?
Exclusive SKINs are a good idea. SKINs have no affect on balance, they can be made tradeable, and their exclusivity to PC would mean that there would be at least some drive to get into it. Further more it would offer an economy jumpstart as non-PC players who want the SKINs would chalk up ISK to PC players for them, and therefore retain circulation. There would always be a market for them and players could set their own prices. It should, however, not be the only thing available.
Have a better idea? So, discuss. Do you agree with this criteria? What can we fuel the DK market with that would match this sort of criteria if you do?

At least, that's what I'm thinking it will be.
Nah, because then everyone would just flood over to the DK Market at the expense of the LP market. Specialist gear needs to be remain unique in FW or it'll lose a lot of it's value.

Basically instead of just being lower in overall PG / CPU they would instead of differing values of PG / CPU.
For example, a Type B module could have values like +20% CPU and -20% PG. By allowing differing values on a large range of equipment on the cheap, it would allow more diverse fittings to be created.
Honestly I think that's how a lot of people expect pirate suits to work out. Something like an Armor Tanking Caldari Assault, for instance. Essentially just a Caldari Assault with Gallente Assault slots, retaining the hybrid - rail weapon bonus, I guess. That'd be the simplest way to go about it but, yanno, there's a lot of opportunity to expand with it.
Not necessarily over-powered so much as offering a bit of variety. The suit itself wouldn't be any better than your traditional builds. Or maybe it would be, who knows.
