It is getting a bit out of hand to me. Honestly it is baffling as to why the weapons have to constantly be changed anyway. Can we not just have them stay one specific way? A lot of complaints do not even appear valid as they do not take into account the way others may use the weapon or their experiences. Usually people just complain from their own experiences. When you look at the damage a weapon does with damage modifiers and all of that stuff, you guys make good points, but if nothing we ever have done will make everyone happy anyway... just leave it some kind of way. No other game comes to mind that constantly does this and it is really only a bad thing as it means if you like a weapon and skill into it it is a gamble that something may change about it seven times after you skill it out.
Besides, with the way people really are afraid to stand in the line of fire to a kill and continuously jump around anyway it seems irrelevant, all complaints, as you have to aim all around just to shoot most targets and you are not just shooting at one target most of the time anyway. People move, multiple people attack you, you move, vehicles are present, so can we stop pretending that it is one on one or that the boards are as small as Nuke Town in Call of Duty?
Even with the stimulants nerfed, the fact that a lot of people seem to jump around like jumping beans all the time is to DUST 514 what dropping to the floor and shooting upward at every target is to Call of Duty. A lot of players play that way (not everyone, but many do) and it is something that always comes to mind whenever people bring up nerfing yet another weapon. There are way too many elements to pretend that the damage one weapon from one person does is going to be that big of a deal. In battle you have a lot to consider depending on what is going on and how much time you have left and what mode you are playing in, not to mention the unexpected drama on the battlefield that is not even worth getting into in this post.
The last thing we should be doing is requesting anything be nerfed as these jumping beans are moving around the area enough as it is to avoid them while usually wielding flaylock pistols or shotguns. Other than that, it just does not seem to matter in some cases. You could put whatever weapon is declared overpowered in the hands of randomly grouped soldiers and have a squad that generally has great chemistry together be the core reason for their side winning.
Look, people are entitled to their opinions, but it really just seems like we should finalize what each weapon should do and just stop changing it. Do vehicles get altered this much or is it only weapons? |

There will come a time when you are unaffected by the balance from an SP perspective. Hopefully they'll allow the trading of Respecs to help those not willing to spend $ by giving them the ability to right a perceived wrong after a balance pass.
Asekpri Vorkna use to think along those lines, but in the long run they should be able to just settle all weapons at a set state of being. Are vehicles going through this as regularly because to my knowledge it is not something that regularly occurs there, so it can be done with weapons as well, even though they are two entirely different things with varied usages in different or similar ways, it still counts for something. |
