we have quite a few faction skins but i've yet to see a Mordu's legion skin, i have a nice mordu's outfit for my pilot to match the ships i usually fly so i was hoping we would see a simlar looking dropsuit version for the Caldari race.

well id say use the texture and colour sceme from the mordus legion jacket that pilots were given a while back, its a black and deep dark blue and looks pretty cool, as mordus legion are a sort of caldari faction i'd say cadari as the race and all 3 dropsuits sizes, you could name the skins after the mordus legion ships, light named after the frigate, medium the crusier and heavy named after the battlecruiser, as for a boring colour scheme, im thinking more basing the colour on there attire rather than the colour of their ships.

Slavishly copying the color scheme isn't necessary. Since it's the boys belonging to Muriya Mordu (I think I spelled the first name right) it should be somewhat crazy and flamboyant.
Mordu's colors in jungle camo striping perhaps?

WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

I take offense to that statement. You just don't know how awesome the Mordu's Legion SKIN really is. I'll show you when I get home as I have some artwork I threw together for the Design-a-SKIN challenge.
EDIT: This isn't to say we can't take a little creative freedom with it, either, and add some kind of camo pattern to it like what was done with some of the pirate faction suits.

I like boring. ulta-black with minimal white insignia- like their EVE ships...Mordu is an Intaki, not a slave to fashion, so put some wear and tear on the gear-and feal free to use duct tape...

try, ultra-black, black, and a ( mid-dark shade) purple-blue with the camo effect template that you have.

Honestly the biggest draw for Mordu's Legion is their physical design.
I'm going to assume trying to put in unique Dropsuit assets for Pirate factions is beyond what's possible for Dust right now? If that sounds accusatory, it's not meant to be. I'm just curious.

Mordus Legion doesn't just have their own color scheme, they also have their own ship designs now. Instead of skins, why not give Mordus their own suit designs? They'll require Caldari dropsuit skills depending on what frame size the suit is, and those with Gallente suit skills get a secondary suit bonus. Start with the medium frame, then later down the road, a light frame and eventually the heavy.
I'd say you got a good starting point with the design from this old trailer. https://youtu.be/Gw0gOjOWDuI .Not that particular design of course, rework it to make it look more Mordu-ish. |
