have slayer logis started to appear, once again, on the battlefield?
I was able to play a little bit last night before the game completely went crazy on me, and I would say the logi population on the field was up to 25% per side... maybe more.
On a weird side note, even with an armor plate, my Gal Logi moves 0.2 faster base, and sprints 0.5 faster (off of memory here) then my Amarr assault who has 2 reactives. Seems kind of... non-assaulty, to me, anyways.

Your sarcasm, albeit expected, isn't necessary. Prior to this patch, a large portion of the community vets told CCP that this was the inevitable. Considering the cheeky, almost condescending, remarks from the CPM in the thread, it did not progress beyond a mere warning.
I just find it funny/interesting, that the outcome was true. Players prefer mobility over eHP. If they can have both, they will take it (Min Assault), but by and large, mobility is more impactful, considering the current TTK.

Slayer logi was a thing with the ability to almost match the amsent for eHP.

Breakin, several items need to be fixed... not just the current proposed ideas. As stated in numerous threads on the topic prior to the patch, the answer did not lie just in movement speed nerfs. High movement was used to overcome poor shield tanking, and dual tanking was used to free up high slots and to run the only effective meta in the game.
I am still using my cal assault (quite effectively), but I am just pointing out that the predictions were true, and that changing one small thing effects game meta in, what can be assumed by CCP and CPM posts, an unintended direction.

My statement is about the increase of overall logi presence, not the overall competitiveness of the suit.
ETA: I would like to say, though, the **** is by and far more competitive than it was, and considering the current racials of assault suits, this is of no surprise.

Despite your weak personal attack and strawman, I will address this by saying: I am NOT saying logis should not be able to kill. I am just, once again, pointing out that the nerf to assault and buff to logi was counterproductive for CCP, since their own statement was that the outcome the vets offered was not going to happen. Just pointing out that it did happen, and CCP needs to spend more time equalizing suits by giving them something that is pertinent to their roles, and not just "this suit outperforms it's role by x, so we nerfed all of the suits in the role".
As an extension of what I have already said, the cal, gal, and amarr assaults should have never been given a speed decrease. These suits (minus the Amarr, which has the best offensive bonus of all Assaults) were already lagging behind some other choices in their intended roles.

The equipment is the killer... but dropping a proto side arm for a proto equipment and a basic (uplink and compact hive respectively) is about the same cost as a proto assault.

See, I like to make posts like this for discussion and personal input like your own.
I find my Cal Assault to be stronger then my Min Assault... and my Amarr Assault doesn't have the radial turn speed to keep up with the Min Assault, so it requires planning if I know I am against a speed squad or team. However, my Gal Logi is quite strong... even before the update, but the update did allow me to add 60+ more armor and not really change my movement speed from where it was before. Using a rail rifle, because the AR is in a bad place now, and scans for days, the suit is extremely viable for almost any situation.
Right now, my Amarr Assault suit just feels to slow to use.. will need to do some low slot adjustment, but I start to fall asleep when I play it.
