have slayer logis started to appear, once again, on the battlefield?
I was able to play a little bit last night before the game completely went crazy on me, and I would say the logi population on the field was up to 25% per side... maybe more.
On a weird side note, even with an armor plate, my Gal Logi moves 0.2 faster base, and sprints 0.5 faster (off of memory here) then my Amarr assault who has 2 reactives. Seems kind of... non-assaulty, to me, anyways.

If they think running logi will make them more effective killers they're idiots.
Slayer logi was a thing with the ability to almost match the amsent for eHP.
With the strafe nerf and the changes rattati is hinting at for gal and cal assault anyone who respecced is going to be on the receiving end of a sharp pain in their asses:
That would be the boot of everyone else flying up their collective ass.
WoW has taught me that Purple means Legendary. This means Quafe suits are the optimal loadout for killing all of you.

Your sarcasm, albeit expected, isn't necessary. Prior to this patch, a large portion of the community vets told CCP that this was the inevitable. Considering the cheeky, almost condescending, remarks from the CPM in the thread, it did not progress beyond a mere warning.
I just find it funny/interesting, that the outcome was true. Players prefer mobility over eHP. If they can have both, they will take it (Min Assault), but by and large, mobility is more impactful, considering the current TTK.

Breakin, several items need to be fixed... not just the current proposed ideas. As stated in numerous threads on the topic prior to the patch, the answer did not lie just in movement speed nerfs. High movement was used to overcome poor shield tanking, and dual tanking was used to free up high slots and to run the only effective meta in the game.
I am still using my cal assault (quite effectively), but I am just pointing out that the predictions were true, and that changing one small thing effects game meta in, what can be assumed by CCP and CPM posts, an unintended direction.

Maybe they, like me ran Logi's all the time its just now they do better because strafing in circles no longer dodges their bullets.
Acquisition is terrible, matchmaking is terrible, your game is still riddled with bugs, you should feel bad.

My statement is about the increase of overall logi presence, not the overall competitiveness of the suit.
ETA: I would like to say, though, the **** is by and far more competitive than it was, and considering the current racials of assault suits, this is of no surprise.

Because any scr or ar wont insta kill a call assault or shield suit. The gall assault with rep hives is good but I prefer min still.Doesn't really matter hmgs are gonna instakill everything now due to LOL strafes op nerf it nerf it. GG |

Despite your weak personal attack and strawman, I will address this by saying: I am NOT saying logis should not be able to kill. I am just, once again, pointing out that the nerf to assault and buff to logi was counterproductive for CCP, since their own statement was that the outcome the vets offered was not going to happen. Just pointing out that it did happen, and CCP needs to spend more time equalizing suits by giving them something that is pertinent to their roles, and not just "this suit outperforms it's role by x, so we nerfed all of the suits in the role".
As an extension of what I have already said, the cal, gal, and amarr assaults should have never been given a speed decrease. These suits (minus the Amarr, which has the best offensive bonus of all Assaults) were already lagging behind some other choices in their intended roles.

If you think about it, at one point all of the classes were kings. Slayer Logi, Forge Sentinels destroying everything, Omnipresent Scouts, Rambo Commandos, and recently, The Dancing Assaults. I believe the Logi's came before the Sentinel Forge, I can't remember.
But, I believe the answer to your question, is after the reign of the Logi. |

I got kicked In the nuts in that thread, like when those players become decent in any game then they can talk bad about me.."assaults will be better because they have more hp".. Then run a heavy or mando it's not like the assaults have a useful bonus anyways..with a logi I can fit the same hp/dmg as my assault but also with a scanner and link/hive..I made the fit before the update and told everyone but oh no I'm the dumb one..at least I know it was only min assault that needed a speed nerf not all the assaults

The equipment is the killer... but dropping a proto side arm for a proto equipment and a basic (uplink and compact hive respectively) is about the same cost as a proto assault.

Possibly (not).
I saw a single Gallente Bee with a shotgun running pretty quickly. Still ended his life, but that was the only I've seen in my single day of play when the hotfix deployed.

Pretty much this.
A Logi, now, can be as effective as an Assault if you know what you're doing. Amarr Logi, for instance, can get similar EHP with better EWAR, fitting management, slot count, and if you fit an ASCR you'll have no problems with heat management because the weapon itself is nigh impossible to overheat. It is essentially an Assault - albeit, now slightly faster - with better everything. You can make up for the lack of regen with a triage nanohive that is complemented by the fitting reduction bonus, as well.
I can only imagine how bad it would have been if they had gone with the original proposal for Assault speed reduction. Assaults would have pretty much been dead as a role.

I was one of those logis. I think the number of assaults has just decreased which is wierd considering the event. With so many more logis, some of us logis pull out our guns and fight. Just cause we are yellow doesn't mean we don't know how to put bullets into reds. I am usually a heavy and I flipped to logi 3 times last night to keep my guys up. I still went 8/2 or 11/1. The other team is lucky I don't have a MD on my logi, but that would make him useless up close.

I have been running Cal Logi since closed Beta. I noticed a bit of a difference but the speed isn't that crazy different. I didn't even change any of my fits. Just running the same ones I have always run.. My demolitions expert suit with Uplinks, Nanohives, and RE's and a RR "Cause Caldari" and my medic with Uplinks or hives, needle and rep tool.
Maybe it is because I have never really played scout other than the free pre-fits I got (Hunter I think they were called) but I can't tell a huge difference in speed for myself. Now, is the strafe speed a lot nicer and more manageable? Hell yes. That is what I was looking forward to.

Min assault and amarr assault are still the best slayers around (at least in pubs). Combat logis are more viable but they still cant match the better assaults (Gal/Cal assault are in a worse place though, since their suits are pretty lackluster and their weapon bonuses suck ass, the Amarr Logi comes extremely close to matching them in combat effectiveness but with 2 extra equipment to play with and an actually effective suit bonus to uplinks). |

See, I like to make posts like this for discussion and personal input like your own.
I find my Cal Assault to be stronger then my Min Assault... and my Amarr Assault doesn't have the radial turn speed to keep up with the Min Assault, so it requires planning if I know I am against a speed squad or team. However, my Gal Logi is quite strong... even before the update, but the update did allow me to add 60+ more armor and not really change my movement speed from where it was before. Using a rail rifle, because the AR is in a bad place now, and scans for days, the suit is extremely viable for almost any situation.
Right now, my Amarr Assault suit just feels to slow to use.. will need to do some low slot adjustment, but I start to fall asleep when I play it.
