P.S. Adapting isn't the problem, tbh it's trivial. KDR will go up. White knuckled back-alley fights will go down. This only counts to the scouts and Minmatar assault really since they're the strafe units of dust. Because no matter how good you are at this game, if they are faster by a huge margin they will strafe circles around you. No longer the case now

Let's put it this way: It can't handle it, so there's no point in trying to figure that out. Also, someone actually hurt over their balanced strafe speed? If you can out DPS someone all because of wiggle strafe, then there's something clearly wrong, no TACTICAL SHOOTER should ever allow massive strafe speed's to be actual skill, maybe small amount's of strafe, but nothing that ACTUALLY effect's the entire game system. So get used to it, and like what armor player's tell us shield player's: GIT GUD.

HmmmGǪ. I predict this issue will smooth over in time. It isn't like Aim-Assist, where CCP had to get it right first time, or it just won't endure the wave of complaints we know will inevitably come.
As Rattati expressed, this is one component that can be dialed forward or dialed back, until the sweet spot is found. It's not a "Full ON" or "Full OFF" thing we need to be afraid of.
Yes, "tactical" does imply we should be using cover and sneaking and waiting for ground-support more, not rushing up and dancing our opponent to death as much as we still do. The game needs to make us more nervous and hesitant about "rolling up on him" all the time.
BUT, if combat in New Eden is about tactics, the pressure (and our expectations) will fall on our Dropsuit technology to beef up enough to support our tactical actions. So now, if I AM going to hide behind the rock at far range, my Caldari suit better be worth SP I sank into its designGǪ my Amar suit better be good at powering the Hardeners the way I need, etc. This combat is now REALLY becoming a story about "suiting up" correctly. Can't bet your money on nimble feet anymore.
I think CCP is well aware of thatGǪ and it's why they are perfecting suit characteristics at the same time as these strafe-tweaks they are doing. In spite of all our bantering,GǪ they do know their stuff.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

Couldn't agree with you more.
I was sick and tired of trying to shoot someone while ADS while they just Eddy Gordo'd me. Especially with the Bolt Pistol.
Four shots should have landed as head shots to the Minmatar Assault? Nah. Blue shields, no damage. GG Seraphim. -.-
I'm having similar (or better) KDR since the update. Don't know why all the scrubs are crying over this. Filled three barrels of tears already.

This change is most positive since Chromosome, sometimes when engaging "8" moving matar assault i was just giving up, like "ah, just a game f@## this moonwalker".
So, thanks, at least for me as solo player i have a chance against dancing logi + heavy combo.

Lol finally, someone who actually get's the idea.
There has always been one critical issue for me and this game, it's not the hit detection, it's not the lack of content, and it's not the OP weapon's. It's the fact that I sink most if not ALL my SP into something and I hardly get my SP's worth, In most game's your awarded greatly and powerfully when you specialize your character in a certain form or style, be it uniquely magic or stealth, or being a straight up bad ass with a giant sword on your back, you the player, in this game, is not rewarded, even if you use the FOTM it's not a true reward, it's just another thing you skilled into.
I'd love to have a much more in depth model of the Skill tree, where I can actually skill into the specific part's of the suit itself, and not just skill into basic to level 3 and assault to level 5 and be done with it, and then move on, that take's away from one's own personality, if you just skill into the next thing, be done with it, and move on.

Or are we using weapons so advanced that its as if we are without armour anyway (i.e headshot kills, couple of chest shots kill etc like battlefield or cod..) You can't have it both ways.
Put another way, what is ideal TTK and in what situation. (For example - A CR that kills an average suit with 1 bullet is clearly OP however a PLC that takes say 2 or more shots to kill that same suit would be pathetically UP)

Being serious though, we already do have beast mode suits of armor and shield's that can deflect huge munition's? That was a thing back in CB but let's not bring up old shield wound's. However we already have 1 shot head shot killing weapon's and a couple of chest shot type game play, most of which are in the form of scout's/logi's/ and non-tanked assault's, or the common academy player. So I don't really understand your comment, please elaborate.

I havent run into any wiggle wiggle since the patch, but that might be because of my non confrontational play style (I much prefer to confront your butthole with my naughty bits).
In any case wiggle wiggle is boring and annoying, I cant imagine anyone having fun doing it. |

I've not experienced the speed/strafe Nerf however it does concern me for paperscouts especially shield based. Can anybody tell me how this has impacted them?
