KrinGÇÖs squad found it odd that he took every bullet with a smile. Most figured he was re-cloned so many times that it finally drove him mad, maybe even a bit dim. But Krin was sharp as a tack, and his future was getting brighter by the day. For countless battles now, heGÇÖs been sneaking salvage to a research facility where a custom dropsuit SKIN module is passing the final stages of testing.
ItGÇÖs a prototype and theyGÇÖre expensive to produce, but heGÇÖs not worried. HeGÇÖs gearing up for the ultimate salvage run, and heGÇÖll gladly share his prototype module with everyone that helps him get it made.
Event Period: June 29 11:00 UTC - Jul 6 11:00 UTC.
During this time period, players will encounter unique Weekly Missions. These missions will ask players to complete: 125 Kills, 125 Kill Assists, 25 Objective Hacks, and 25 Installations Destroyed during the event period. Players will also be able to track their event progress via the Daily Mission system currently in game.
Once all 4 Weekly Missions have been completed, players will receive exclusive 'Krin's' Modified SKIN Module after the event is over, on July 7 11:00 UTC.

Seems like you have the whole week to complete these missions, and you can watch your progress
in the 'daily missions' screen...

Every character that completes all 4 missions will qualify for 1 SKIN. These are weekly missions so you have time to complete them in 7 days.

As for those asking about can it work on other Racial suits, don't forget that all the races have their own officer level 'hero' mercs with their own gear.
Don't think it'll be too much of a stretch to imagine similar Salvage Runs for their signature SKIN's in the future.

Actually I'm pretty sure the Amarr and Caldari don't.
Balac, Krin, and Cala are Minmatar by blood line, the former two having been Valklears, Cala simply a volunteer.
While Gastun is Gallentean if the Stranded short stories tell us truthfully. There to my knowledge has never been mention of a Caldari Cloned Soldier nor an Amarrian one.
As I understand it the man who was Templar One is unavailable, and the entirety of the original Templar squad 2-10 are dead....permanently......because we kind of purged them in 2013.

I'm worried about the installation destruction. Dam those people with proto rail tanks will blow every installation up :( and those minjas will hack every objective. And if that's not good enough there will be that one thale camping on a objective. But on the brighter side no vehicle kill assists phew.
You can complain all you want about lasers. Despite the nerfs it will rip you to shreds.

I think a statement needs to be made by CCP as to what suit this fits on. If it is not going to be tradeable and is only going to fit on a minmatar medium suit this event is just plain useless for many of us.
Also, it should be fun trying to actually have close matches when every match starts out with the whole team fighting over who gets the installation kill. |

My impression is that if the event is well liked then more of the same (reward style) are able to be forthcoming thus allowing for more events without the added overhead of hosting a selection thread every time an event of this nature is spun up.

Hi Devs. The event is nice and the Key rewards for each weekly mission is sweet so this is not to complaint....but.....
Could you please change or modify the destroy installation mission?
The problem is that I just played 3 matches and the players were all jumping on tanks and not playing the game (killing enemies, hacking objectives) so the game is boring, I lost 2 battles not because the other team was better or all in proto, it was just that in my side half of the players were in tanks doing nothing.
I hope this can be changed with no much trouble because I think this will get worse.

I'm surprised the instal actual took damage . I tryed it the other week and it didn't do anything .
Also I tryed 3 advanced packed re's on a hav and it did nothing . Think they need to up range range just slightly by like 0.50 or something

I just completed 25 installation kill mission. My only opinion about that mission is: It's terrible
While you are completing this mission, you are not contributing almost anything to your team. You play more as a burden than help to your own team. How many times, under normal gameplay you kill installations? Almost never I would assume-
I don't blame people going to actively hunt installations only, considering there is usually 1 installation per 3-4 players per match, competition to get installation kills will be high closer to event ending draws.
For better missions, I would had simply suggested installation hacks or revives. Both of these would be more team contributing than installation hunt and dust is all about team play. |

I keep getting disconnected before ever getting the chance to play a battle. Might as well kiss good bye that Kador suit I was going for. CCP, are you gonna extend the event period due to disconnecting issues? A whole 24 hour period has gone by. And I have been unable to play a single game. Not cool. Since about 15% of the time ia gone, give us 15% credit towards completion. Give us 3 hacks and installations destroyed, 18 or so kills & kill assists, and have it apply to everyone.

I gotta say though this one is a bit of a curve ball like mission for those speced into anything but tanks/Forge gun. I mean you have to actively destroy otherwise tactical objectives that could help the team thus your hurting the team, but I don't feel all that guilty. Between the blueberrys hacking the objective your shooting, and people stealing your installation kill you've worked on blue and red alike it makes you care less about them during the event.
I'd prefer a reasonable revive/resupply mission or at least have installation kill assists count so teamwork is still encouraged. |

I finished my first character off within 1 day, but to my surprise what took me for f'n ever to do is get the kill assist. I think THAT should lowered more than anything. I am wasting soooo much money having to NOT finish my kills on the hope that someone else can finish it and these clowns can't even finish off someone with 3hp. I'm took over 100 people to 1 shot for death and with a crowd of people around me I leave them alone and only managed to get about 15 assists from all that each time. 15 minutes to a game and I'm averaging like 5 assist. That is absurd.
The installation destruction part I thought would be the most annoying part, but heck... I finished that in a few hours and even THAT was a pain. People see you about to destroy something and the idiots will wait til the last few hits and hurry and hack it. WTF. It makes me want to just play faction warfare and kill whomever on my team is trying to take it while I'm shooting it just so I can finish my damn mission. Definitely not the TEAM thing to do, but it's not a TEAM mission.
I realize though, this is why we have an entire week to complete it all, but geezum. I guess it's a good thing though... After grueling through such foolishness, I wouldn't want to see EVERYONE with it. Takes from the exclusiveness.

Kill assists were grind ish for me but not the worst, just had to head to ambush and weaken people and 4 hours later boom done. The thing that gets me the most is the fact i'm not helping the team really but now I'm over it after doing this for so long. |

Agreed. The kills and assists aren't really an issue. The hacks and installation destructions are a lot worse simply because the opportunities are so slim. I haven't had a chance to play very much so I need to get it going. I'm about halfway on my kills and assists, but I only have 2 installation destructions and all of ZERO hacks.

Asekpri Vorkna saw that Minmatar dropsuit as well, but even though it was near the Past Events list, there was a Gallente dropsuit featured on that page as well. If it is Minmatar then it is of no use to me as Asekpri Vorkna strictly utilizes Gallente equipment only.
Maybe one event we can have an option to choose or a skin for each race with a sub-choice of dropsuit type. |

Do what I did for 2 of my 4 chars.
For the HACKING OBJECTIVES
Make a suit specifically for this event. A gallente scout with modules to run faster and have more stamina. A mimitar is faster for the sprint, but runs out of breath quick. The Gallente is slower but can run much longer so if the distance is further, you'll get their much faster by never having to stop running (just don't jump). Start a SKIRMISH match, spawn on the ground if you can, then haul ass immediately. Don't go to the first objective unless it's in route to the 2nd nearest one because more than likely someone is going to have a way to get there before you. With luck/skill you can grab 1 or 2 objectives from the jump. If you DON'T get one of them... just leave the battle and try again. If I manage to hack one, I'll stay in the battle, if not... I leave and start a new match. Kinda of lame to do, but oh well... Like I said in another post... it's not a TEAM mission.
For the INSTALLATION DESTRUCTION
Take a Forge gun or Tank and go to the outskirts of a map, then go all the way to the enemy side and just shoot the stuff you can. Don't bother attacking anything that isn't RED because an enemy can attack it or some idiot teammate will hate on you and either try to destroy or hack it. If it is RED then the enemy can't destroy it so your odds of soloing it is much better without as much interference, especially if it's in the redline. I made a missle tank (small and large turrets are missles), turn the tank sideways so, get out of range for someone to jump in my tank, change to small turret, shoot all rockets, change to next small turret, shoot all rockets, change to large turret, shoot all rockets. then the turret installations are gone. If it's a supply depot or spawn thing, do the same thing, you'll just have to reload a few times. It'll take you about 4 or 5 missions to get them all done.
It's all in out-thinking everyone else. You know everybody is going straight into the middle to destroy the obvious stuff first, so go for the other stuff they won't pay attention to. Besides, even after that, they can't spawn on ground in redzone anymore so they will only have the MCC to drop them, which you can camp and keep killing them as they drop if you are good with your aiming and they are using cheap suits (like most are doing for the event)

From what I read, the awards are supposed to be given the day after the event is completed. The keys were given because they are listed in the Daily Mission part that's factored into the game. That's just an added mission, but it's counted weekly instead of daily. The dropsuit is in addition. Of course they could have just made it the daily award (on the rid side of the screen for completing so many missions) and changed it to whatever, but they were being lazy with the coding and didn't want to add 3 lines of code to circumvent the daily setup they have already.

wtf? I didn't think plasma cannons even hurt installations that much... I'll have to try that out. If it works out, I might go ahead and do the event on another char to add more skins to my collection.

I liked some of the missions. That hack missions forces people that would never hack to hack an objective!
Kills. Standard. Nothing new.
Kill assist: I shoot at everything at any distance so why I finished last I don't know.
The installation kill was not good. It was also the easiest to complete. When i was doing those I never pushed the points. I didn't do anything but kill installations. I was useless to the team because I was doing my own thing. (Fw)
A successful event. I enjoyed it. And the reward is alright.

I compl+¿te the 25 in less than 5 games... I destroyed supply d+¬p+¦t n CRU along with rail guns etc,,, and only lost 2 kubos.. one to +á istallations n one to +á tank... (i saw the shield tank from +á distance destroyin +á cru n left him n went lower down to Destroy +á rail gun. Event rewards usually take a few days to be distributed... sometimes a few weeks. You'll probably see it by next Tuesday/Wednesday or so, if you're lucky... if friends are reporting getting theirs though and you didn't, you'd best send in a help ticket.
