The process also generally costs 10,000 usd + to do; this what killed FeZ 2 on the xbox for the longest time because it was unable to save a game file and the developer had no money to patch it. Whereas on PS4, it's still in CB. On PC you're competing with two major F2P FPS titles, PS2 and TF2. DUST wouldn't survive on PC.

Let's take GTA V for example, first released on the PS4, console fans were celebrating and whatnot, come a year later, GTA V was released on PC with even better graphics and even more features such as the "first person" mode.Don't believe me? Then have another example, BF3 has smaller overall maps and less players per match each game on the ps3 compared to its pc counterpart. Why do you think strafing is such a valid tactic in Dust? its because aiming precisely is much more difficult with a controller than a mouse. I think a lot of peoples frustration in dust comes from the difficulty in downing players who can strafe well. If this game was PC strafing would probably buy you a little bit of time, but nothing more. Most competent PC players will reck anyone strafing in the open.
