A part from plot/lore I am most appreciative of the cool people I've met playing Dust. Being an Amarrian Templar has been a blast because of them.
Also touching on the first point I really like the lore because of one specific character. Jamyl Sarum. I just find her general depiction, mannerisms, and back story to be fascinating.

I like the higher TTK, as in my module choices matter, while retaining the "if I get the drop on you, you are mine" feeling
I like it when I approach a battle, and I hear the multiple scifi weapons and think "ooo scary", if I hear the whine of an HMG, the "ploomp" of the MD or the blaoing of a Forge.
I like that I truly feel like I could be on a different planet sometimes, and that these places we are on aren't vibrant luscious planets, but desolate mining rigs, with desperate humans, fighting to survive, like Alien or Dune.
I love the suits, and how incredibly easy it is to spot the difference between sizes and factions

I love just about everything Rattati said, plus the fact that Dust's is realistic, sure is scifi but Dust answered a question that always kept me away from mmo fps games "why do I get to come back after I die and fight again?" Many more realistic details like this one is what separates Dust from the rest. |

I love the fact that odd playstyles can succeed in the game because cookie cutter class balance is not applied.
The fact that one can custom design their loadouts completely matters a lot.

One of the tips that I love to give to new players is to look at the FACE of a dropsuit if they cant quite figure out what it is.
Dust has done a real good job at small visual cues for dropsuits, particularly faces/helmets and powerpacks. I also have to say that sound design has provided some pretty good audio cues too.

i love the lore and equipment of everything minmatar. i love their tribal ways and thier lifestyle. i love all of their ships(especially the rifter, tempest, naglfar, and ragnarok) i love shooting my projectile bullets and explosives at the dirty (yet shiny) amarr slavers in Public contracts and Faction Warfare
i love the way their weapons looks, feel, and fire. i enjoy how the grenade based rounds of the mass driver look as they are being projected through the air on their way to their enemy. i like that the HMG is so appealing and fun to use. i love the minmatar vehicles(the ones were getting as placeholders and the original ones we never got.)
i love how the minmatar suits move and the way they are so nicely designed, and their rusty quarters. i love my couch that is hard as rocks because we are never able to sit on it. i love the way my merc quarters looks and the minmatar vibes i get from it. i love the way people attempt to flee or panic as remote explosives are being placed near their feet.

I like the skill progression and that it effects the performance of wepaons/modules not just opens up new ones. CoD, BF and even PS2 are nice games but whats the point in unlocking the other guns? they look a bit different and make a slightly different noise but thats it. If DUST had the stability in battles and the battlesizes of PS2 while keeping the rest of the stuff intact it'd be close to perfect (for me)

So much this.
The guns and weapons in DUST all have different uses, vastly different 'feels' and they actually feel like something powerful from a far future setting.
I really like BF4 but so many of the guns are just very minor variations of others, in effect it doesn't make a huge difference what weapon you pick as long as you shoot first. In DUST the variables are so much greater. (This is a double edged sword however)

The fact that one can custom design their loadouts completely matters a lot. Making odd fittings and playstyles is what kept me playing Dust for nearly 3 years now, and I've still barely scratched the surface. There are THAT many possibilities.
Hell, in beta when I was in Bojo's School of the Trades, I was the head of the Lab Rat Division, whose soul purpose was to find new viable fittings and playstyles, while also pointing out to CCP why some things just don't work.
