What i love most about Dust:
Depth/Complexity The interlocking systems and the depth of gameplay they generate. Suits, loadouts, passives, damage/armor types, equipment, ewar, vehicles.....it's a long list. It means Dust requires more thought, more planning, more awareness than other shooters.
The Uphill Climb Passive sp, suit tiers, too many skills not enough sp, the tension between specialization vs. generalization. The difficulty of solo vs. squads.
Real Loss The fact that losses of suits and vehicles cost us, sometimes dearly. The fact that(ISK faucets, BPOs and APEX aside) players have to make a calculation involving power, risk, the size of their wallet and the size of their balls when they put equipment on the field.
These factors taken together means that Dust will make no allowance for one's weaknesses and will punish errors of thought or tactics or awareness most brutally. This difficulty is what gives our actions on the field meaning.
Looking at this list reminds me that everything that is best about Dust comes from New Eden.

knight guard fury wrote:i love the lore and equipment of everything minmatar. i love their tribal ways and thier lifestyle. i love all of their ships(especially the rifter, tempest, naglfar, and ragnarok) i love shooting my projectile bullets and explosives at the dirty (yet shiny) amarr slavers in Public contracts and Faction Warfare
i love the way their weapons looks, feel, and fire. i enjoy how the grenade based rounds of the mass driver look as they are being projected through the air on their way to their enemy. i like that the HMG is so appealing and fun to use. i love the minmatar vehicles(the ones were getting as placeholders and the original ones we never got.)
i love how the minmatar suits move and the way they are so nicely designed, and their rusty quarters. i love my couch that is hard as rocks because we are never able to sit on it. i love the way my merc quarters looks and the minmatar vibes i get from it. i love the way people attempt to flee or panic as remote explosives are being placed near their feet.
Sweet damn.
That's chapter and verse Minmatar New Age religion right there.
