Equipped a adv minmatar assault suit, 3 PRO myros, 2 PRO red bottles, 1 PRO damp
ran to a door, a cloaked enemy scout is seen attempting to enter and he stops, hoping I didn't notice him, I charge at the door he is next to and melee him. He probably didn't expect that. He probably thought I would run through the door.
Equipped a adv minmatar commando, 2 PRO myros, 1 PRO red bottle (finally skilled into a commando suit that is semi viable at melee, the caldari don't have enough speed or stamina superiority)
I passively scan a cladari sentinel around a corner, I charge and leave the enemy astounded at the power of the falcon punch. (larger than 800 melee damage).
I finally got my 'fix' of 'melee goo'. I feel great.
How many other guys use melee? |

I am the Min Scout scrub who uses 3 myos for 615hp damage as a cloaky ****-puncher. While I am a glass cannon, I don't have to worry about put down delay with the cloak if I want to keep meleeing people.
I compliment this fit with either PLC/Knives/Av Grenade or Mass Driver/Bolt Pistol/Flux Grenade

Even then, the Minmando will always have the better sprint speed, movement speed (strafe) and stamina regen to sustain melee.
CR wraps up what you don't kill in the first or second strike - it chews up armor.

I have run this fit a couple times. The commando is just too slow atm, really i use a kinkat in the lows too, but heavies back away just as fast as this thing runs (Obviously an exaggeration) and hit detection is utterly useless, so it isn't really viable. Though one hitting proto assaults doesn't get old

The majority of my melee kills are unintended. I can't tell you the times I've tried to destroy an uplink but kill the spawn.

I use that on my Minmando, works great if you don't use melee as your primary weapon but as a surprise counter-attack when in a bad situation. Having an active scanner and a PRO dampener also helps a lot. The dampener brings your profile down to 37, enough to not appear on medium scan ranges outside scouts (35 would be so much better to avoid ADV active scanner). Moreover the typical commando bane in closed environments being the sentinel, you can run back behind a corner and wait there... then punch him to death.
It's crazy fun but a bit expensive Now I drop either the kincat or the dampener to be able to fit that on my Renegade commando, it's slightly less effective but much cheaper |

5 proto myos on a Caldari Assault was pretty badass for melee in confined spaces, back before the 3 myo limit.
