Idea - Take the model of the rep tool and the same lock on mechanic. Change the colour and the increase the range. Give the ability to lock on to enemy vehicles.
Theory GÇô Drains the enemy vehicle of power reducing speed and abilities. Allowing logistical support to aid in destruction of vehicles increasing teamwork and ability to set traps.
Practise GÇô Reduces target movement speed, Reduces module active time, increases module cool down time, increases heat build-up of weapons. One of more of these would work. Increasing level of equipment increases the multiplier effect on the opposing vehicle.
Initial positives -uses already existing mechanics and models.
Initial negatives -feasibility of negative multiplier effects on target statistics of modules and speed is unknown. -Possible further vehicle vs. AV unbalance
But hay just a thought GǪ
Bonus added thought - large area, nanohive effect, webifier grenade. Reduces all movement within area, friend or foe, for a given period of time.

I don't feel it should slow the vehicles down as that's a function of a webifier rather than a neut, but I like the general idea.
We should also get vehicle mounted variants so we can use LAV's as interceptors with neuts and webs. Maybe even make LAV specializations that get bonuses to them?
We want cake and tea.

Neuts and Webs are something that would greatly increase interactivity, so +1.
HAVs, however, need an acceleration reduction overall, and Swarms need their basic modus operandi changed to being less idiot friendly first.

Or we could just reduce tank speed and acceleration. The problem with tanks is they can escape way too fast.

Sorry bruv but you don't get Webifiers AND Neuts in one. If you do either characteristic [velocity reduction or debuffs] would have to have have a significantly lower effect of the vehicle you are targeting and a range that ensures this is not heavily exploited.

Give me back my 180mm Armour plating, Damage Controls, Passive Armour Plates, and Active Armour Repairers back, while reducing the effectiveness of Armour Hardeners......sound good mkay? You say yes right? Of course you say yes........you buy cat? Only 40 MSK.

I suggested it reduce speed as well as maybe module cool down because if it didn't, the vehicle would just drive off as soon as it realised it was being effected. I'm not sure that all mechanics from EVE would work the same on the ground in practise.
It was mainly based on the continuation of the current Vehicle speeds. Which I realise is tricky to balance without full vehicle parityGǪ (coughGǪ Amarr tanksGǪ cough).
But I do agree that the range could be a good balancing factor.
I just like the idea of catching an incoming tank or LAV leaving it open for attack while seeing its turret slowly lumber round to try and take you out so it can get away, would be quite fun. It would also encourage vehicle users to take more small turret gunners giving them something to do.
