I have heard about certain agreements between such parties, but I mean if a company wants to expand and break out of their rut, they can take measures to do so. - Transfer of isk can take up to 24 business hours. - "I love the smell of Warbarge Laser Strikes in the morning... So it became a PS3 exclusive. I really doubt Microsoft is going to be any more interested now than they were then in supporting a game that requires cross-play with their direct competitor. So in the case of other games they -do- have their own servers, but the ones that go to Xbox 360 can be touched freely by Microsoft. Seeing as Tranquility is all one server (both EVE and DUST) CCP was understandably uneasy with giving any company free reign access to literally the beating heart of their entire company. Thankfully PlayStation Plus doesn't require payment for multiplayer as long as the game is free-to-play. Just look at Blacklight Retribution and couple of other such games on the PS4. And yes, apparently Microsoft wanted to exert more control than necessary over CCP's connection between the game and the Tranquility server. But that was a long time ago before closed beta and who knows if Microsoft updated their policies in order to compete with Sony's offer. But either way, I don't want to pay extra just to be able to play multiplayer on a free-to-play game.
