A piece of equipment that made even me explode. No one likes seeing the 'you have been scanned' permenatly written on their hud. modules are given penalties for stacking and cloaks have a limit of one per fit. Why can't we take a note from them and do that with the scanner? Make it one scanner per fit only or give it a minor scan visiblity time penalty per scanner. It would help with the proto stomps. |

Well tough luck I guess. Scouts are barely alive at this point with the cloak Nerf so let the scanner take a little Nerf. If anything a logi devoted to scans is pointless 2 scanners is enough to perma scan everyone on the opposite side of the planet. |

That would result in every logi carrying Uplink, Nanohive, needle, scanner. Maybe a few randoms with REs instead of a needle or something.
Scanners don't even gain any points from people outside their squad (and God forbid he doesn't have one). It really is a thankless job. |

Its a thankless job alright. Its a job that really kills peoples morale. At least with my amar scout suit fit I can get in and gun the logo down and make me feel better and him a little more afraid to bring out that damn thing. |

You only have to get below 21 to dodge the permascans. An Amarr Scout should be able to reach that low with 3 CPX Dampeners. |

3 low slots that I reserve exclusivly for low sprint speed,and poor armour rep on a high armour suit.

The WP gain for scanners compared to other equipment is really bad.
We should get intel kill assist WPs for the entire team and not just from the players in squad!

you must be a **** fit scout to be scanned.
my gall scout only runs 2 complex damps and I never get scanned.
if I do get spotted by a gal logi running duvolle focused (rarely) I switch to trip damps. or if I REALLY want to make sure there is no possible way to be scanned I use quad complex damps. cause guess what.... profile dampeners don't stack.

If scanners should be squad only then so should drop uplinks, nanite injectors, nano hives, repair tools, and remote explosives!
Or they should only give WPs if they are used on squad member.

Scans should only be visible to squad.
Intel assist points should be increased.
Scans should only show a red dot for all suits instead of the directional arrow for new frames.
Maybe have 1 low tier variant for newbies that scans for whole team but has a high db or super short visibility time.
Wouldn't really mind if most had snap shots of the area u scanned instead of time they currently do.

They have already showed they can have the scan only benefit the squad. Don't know of they can pull it off with the other eq.Wouldn't want them to try ether for fear of screwing something else up. XD
See scans as more of a luxury than the pieces of eq also.
Um I guess having remotes only work on squad mates would make fw more interesting

Scouts have abysmal HP compared to Assaults and Assaults can have close to the same speed/everything else better than a scout and still have more HP. The nerf to cloaks and passive scans really hurt the utility of scouts and made it next to impossible to run a viable fit. Scout should NOT have to put 2-3 dampeners on to get below scans, they should have to put on 1, scouts need mobility and that takes KinCats, they should have passive sight, but I can see how that can be OP.
Scanners need some kind of nerf, I would like to see the range cut in half, and Gal bonus be to range, not to precision. Dampeners do in fact have stacking penalties, just not strictly speaking, because you are dealing with smaller and smaller numbers. A dampener helps a heavy more than a scout in terms of raw numbers, which I find odd, but that is the way it currently works. |

It's better to run sg assault than sg scout. You don't have to give a damn about scans (PC, town).
In pubs.. take away scans from these players and they would drown themselfs in their tears.

The min assault can get below 21 with 3 damps as well, why is this limited to amarr scout?

It's the natural flow of the game. When you confront an enemy and you beat them at straight up gun game what do they counter with? They b#tch up and call a tank or they run a p#ssy scout with R.E.'s and shotgun. How do you counter? A.V. or scans.

I main the amarr scout suit. And I only use this suit. And if anything its so badly suited to dealing with ewar and scanners. Sure you can fit the 3 damps but at what cost? I don't use ewar. I rely on my eyes and ears and get in someone's face when I blast them with the shotgun |

The only reason I don't like scanners is that it destroys a scouts usefulness apart from the ninja dynanmic. I say scouts should be able to do what scouts do which is to move forward quickly and observe from a distance.
Scouts should have the active scan bonus and logis have the passive short range suit scans. Logis stay close to their team so they should be better at picking up close enemy contact. Nerf the passive scans of the assault, heavy and basic suits.
Scouts could then use scanners and maybe have scanners not pick up anything too close, only at a certain minimum and max range. Then nerf scanners to where they have a massive cooldown. Then the scout would have a cooldown reduction bonus on the suit as well as a range increase.
Give scouts WP for scans and it gives people an incentive to run scouts and makes logis better to have around.
The CPM candidate we need, not the one we want. The candidate for the rest of us.

I do not have the data, but it seems that scouts are rare on the field. The eWare nerf hurt a lot, scouts were no longer able to "scout". If an assault can fill the role of a scout better than a scout then we have issues. The utility of scouts is lacking, plan and simple.
They should not be slayers, they should be disrupters, and part of that is needing information. Pick off the stragglers or hack that point with little defense. I think if a scan nerf is needed no matter what. Not sure if scouts need a utility buff, but it is not feasible to run with passive scanners. |

And it says to any squad "drop ob here!!!!!"
Simply put it puts your team at an extreme disadvantage with low risk especially if he is hiding on a roof with dampened gal logi
