Sgt Kirk wrote:Ah, I see a lot of those are from last year.
I've been working on my coming to the forum after getting pissed after a bad match with blues for about three months now.
I thought I've been doing pretty good.
But, yeah. If that's you're only gripe with me is my anger issues which I'm working on then id say that's pretty good.
You have your own personal problem with me and its pretty known, but it should stay between you and me only.
On top of that a lot of these post are when I was and 18. That's a dramatic jump from where I am now at 20. I don't know the history between you two, but I have to say that this was as good a response to a critical post as I have seen. A measured and respectful response.
I have to give you props for that Sgt Kirk.

But then again, that's anybody. I know having to lend my parents money for groceries when I was 13 certainly effected my outlook on life. You don't feel quite so entitled when you start having to look after the people who are supposed to be looking after you.

Well, everyone has to grow up sometime. Between 18 and 20 is a common time frame for it to happen. Although I have seen it happen to some people as early as 12 (usually due to very challenging circumstances), and have seen others in their late 30's who have not grown up yet (often due to being spoiled and still living at home).

The posts were returned on the search word "community". There are likely dozens (possibly hundreds) of other posts to the same effect which happen to lack the word "community". Assuming we had a complete record of all the instances where Sgt Kirk calls other people idiots (or the equivalent) we could take those instances and plot them over time. If Sgt Kirk grew up instantly, we'd be able to see exactly when that happened. If he is growing up gradually, we'd see a gradual decline over time. It'd also be pretty cool to see this behavioral trend line plotted against those of other candidates. Fun! I like graphs. You should totally do that. Could be interesting.
