Not sure what the eve lore is behind it but the thukker would be badass on all mini suits. As well as kador on all amarr suits. Plus the price would seem more reasonable.
I love the smell of orbital support in the morning!!!

The reason they do it they way they do (by race / suit type) is due to the mechanical restraints of adding skins to a suit.
Very simply, it's applying a texture pack to a model. These texture packs have to be based to a certain degree on the model, especially if you want no bad performance cases. As an example, there is a bug where SKINS can be applied to any ship, not just the ones they are designed for. This generally works, but there are edge cases that cause some artifacting and performance hits.
They will likely come out with the skins for every suit type of a race, but that takes time, and they were trying to start off with a wide selection of Skins as possible. |

This is spot on.

They will likely come out with the skins for every suit type of a race, but that takes time, and they were trying to start off with a wide selection of Skins as possible. Its more likely that People could apply the same skin to multiple ship hulls without paying CCP extra cash for it. Thats why it has beeing taken off the game and not due to performance issues. Just you wait till CCP comes out and offers skins for each individual ship which you have to pay for. Basically the community had cake and the developer sayd no and took it away.
And if thats the case with dust why do we have then Gal, Minmatarr and Caldari MAG suits? They all have the same colour scheme so im naturally highly skeptical in that regard that each Skin needs to be coded seperately.
Bright is the opposite of dark! Who would have thought of that?!
