***** please
Its a business When profits outnumber debts then dust 514 lives When debts outnumber profits then dust 514 dies
Remember when we had a single build then for the next six months Ccp said they were doing bug fixes? Yeah._._.Lol._.The checks in the mail |

Ripley Riley wrote:I could stand for an entire patch dedicated to bugs, large and small. Perhaps a second patch focusing on optimization.
I don't see it happening though. The reality is Dust 514 does not offer enough content to generate consistent, steady profit on it's own merit. Every patch must have something that drives aurum sales. Without aurum sales CCP cannot justify keeping Dust 514 online. See this guy gets that Its a business |

See this guy gets that Its a business That plays to the free to play mentality well, but I will pose a question to you. If the games shooting and core mechanics are not optimized and streamlined will anybody new to the game put up with it? The answer is no. The amount of weapons and gear doesn't play as big a role as you might think, other shooters have like CoD and battlefield have just as much content maybe even less in a way. I have said this a lot, how the game play as an FPS doesn't compare to its competitors. Dust will not retain players because noobs will just think the controls and core shooter mechanics suck. All the shiny officer and aur gear and weapons will not compensate for poorly designed core mechanics. It's like building a house, you don't start with walls and roofing, you start with the foundation. No You start with a ft2 sustainable business plan that includes plenty of carrots instead sticks i.e. Warframe
Bugfixes and new content expansion simultaneously on that game
Versus Ccp ? Please ._.Two years ago folks wanted to PAY for custom area nameplate on suits and vehicles Ccp said no
Folks wanted custom colors Ccp said no
Folks wanted to PAY for custom laser colors
Ccp said no
Folks wanted to PAY for clan tag on suit and vehicle Ccp said no
Ccp needs to get schooled on ft2 sustainable business plan for a console that includes increased playerbase |

See this guy gets that Its a business The question was "would we like it/be cool with it," not "do we consider it likely." The problem is Ccp only listens to server player numbers
I hope they are listening to my ps4 only game play along with by now 23 million ps4 console games players

Maken Tosch wrote:That would be a great idea but there is a problem. The game needs to continue making money and that means Rattati has to maintain a balance between focusing on bug fixes and introducing more content.
Let me give you an analogy to better explain why.
Pretend that I am an aircraft mechanic working for an airline. A commercial jet rolls into the hangar and is due for an annual inspection. However, since the aircraft is needed in action as often as possible to maintain revenue for the airline and since an aircraft on ground is an aircraft that is NOT making any money, we already filed the necessary paperwork to perform a progressive inspection instead.
A progressive inspection is exactly like an annual inspection only it is performed at set intervals (usually every month) over the course of an entire year rather than being performed all at once. On the first month we inspect the wings. The following month we inspect the tail section. The month after that we inspect the landing gear, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, and so on and so forth until the 12th month when finally sign it off as completed and say it's airworthy. In the meantime, the aircraft continues to fly for the airline to make more money. This is preferred over doing the entire inspection process all in one go.
Congratulations, you just learned something new that you probably won't even bother to use for the rest of your life unless you're an aircraft mechanic like me. Orly? -60 used on what plane?

back then a dash sixty was a generator powering a blower turbine to startup f4 jet engines but sometimes the dash sixty was over rpm and the turbine flew past the f4 jet cockpit._._.Scary times
