First: For now we are in point of time where we have saccesfuly introduced dampeners, precision enchancer, scaners, cloaks etc. All people are fine with scan profiles for dropsuits. Even vehicles are more detectable. Everybody happy with perma scans and wall-hacks :) This works... almost.
Let's call this as normal EWAR.
For more curious people look at 'Scan precision'. You will see there is meantion about 'performing actions such as firing weapons or moving'. This is not inluded in normal EWAR.
Let's make EWAR 2.0 with dynamics changes depend from it.
Weapon damage profile can be easy transfered to temporary boost scan profile (seperately power of boost and time of it). - low dmg weapon shoots in burst change TACNET shows more low - blik in time - hi dmg wepon - TACNET clear/strong boost - mele - half of scan proflie boost
Running - half of scan proflie boost
Cloak/decloak - +20 dB in short time
This introduce more info at TACNET. Maybe more noise, but we can learn more from it. Carefuly implemented change one side dependency at normal EWAR, and bring us to lore.
Lore:
Scan Profile Scan Profile determines how easy you are to discover on enemy radar, and show up with a red tag on the enemy HUD. Your base Scan Profile is determined by the dropsuit you are wearing. That can be further modified by the Dropsuit and Profile Dampening skills, along with Profile Dampener modules.
Scan Precision In order to detect enemies yourself, your dropsuit carries a base Scan Precision which determines how easily you can detect an enemy. Any enemy which has a scan profile (which will be altered by performing actions such as firing weapons or moving) higher than your scan precision will be detected on the minimap. This means that a low scan precision is better. It is worth noting that it is very easy to confuse scan precision with the precision of your scanning. As scan precision decreases, the quality and hence accuracy (and yes, precision) of the scan improves. Scan precision can be enhanced by using Precision Enhancers. Scan precision can also be improved (once again, improvement means a decrease in scan precision) permanently by upgrading the Precision Enhancement skill.

I would prefer that all weapons equally effect the users scan profile.
But I like the overall Idea.
Crouching could reduce your profile |

- This depend: -- easy way , flat eg.+100 to dB when fireing easy enough to implement. -- dmg depend from 30 to 1500 dB ;) - still at TACNET same size red dot. -- carefuly calculated from dmg and TACNECT filled with shadows and bright dots.
This will be more like movement scaner for Alien (tm) series. 'Meeleing air' you can make nice distraction or you can 'feel' where enemy is comming.

All in all, I like those ideas. But I'm pretty sure implementing it is off the table for the next few years :P Rattati is too busy breaking scouts some more right now ;) |

Made almost this exact post a month or so ago.
Was told that "Dynamic scan profiles are currently beyond CCP capabilities on the PS3"
