Just think it would be better if I could put x item up in the player trade section of the market with my o.b.o. price tag to it.
If the market had an "assets being sold section", mercs could go check the prices of things being sold at their leisure. I could simply post that I'm selling 20 experimental mass drivers for, oh idk, 150k isk a piece. Merc 2 sees this, and decides he wants them. He can 1. Pay that price in the market, and that isk, minus fee, goes to the selling merc. The items go to the buying merc. No negotiations, haggling, or "trust" involved.
Currently I've only traded a few items with mercs that are in corp/alliance. 1. They've bled with me 2. They know me well enough to know that, if in the states, I'll come find them..... not joking.
I would like to trade with others with the hope of possibly getting better value, but who am I kidding I don't trust you mutha.... mercs
Now if the buying merc wants to buy, but doesn't like the price, he could of course mail to haggle it down a notch. Ultimately though, it guarantees a clean transaction. None of this "trust" trading.
As much as I want dust to be connected to eve, we can leave alot of the sleezy behavior out please.

Agreed, and I won't, but I'd like to be able to just post what I want to sell, play matches, and then see the isk from the agreed upon sale in my wallet. Not spending half my time wrestling with thirsty mercs, and listening to bidding wars. There's a much more civilized way to do things is all, and this doesn't necessarily take away the haggling part. Just the whole "trust" factor for those who want to sell without the foolishness.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for an actual trading system.

Option2: Work on trading/player market until it's done, might take another year, allow players to send items to each other in the meanwhile.
CCP picked Option 2. If you want the full trading / market thing, just hold onto your items until that feature is ready.

And that's fine. It was a suggestion, not a complaint. Are ideas off limits now?
All I suggested was another outlook on the option to trade/sell. Glad to death it's here, but some improvements can be made.

Or... I could use my brain? I'm just saying that so far all my sales have yielded great isk, and my trades got me monster items that I can use. Would like to continue this pattern without the newb-loser experience that comes with a large percentage of these players, and their trolly behavior.
You can still scam by haggling price, but making an agreement, then under-handedly backing out of the deal once you've recieved your half of the bargain struck between men, where I'm from is called stealing. It's dishonorable, and your word is worth gold! Some of you have garbage character in real life. This is a video game, and you still want to be a douche?
I'm simply suggesting a progressive option. If you trolls don't like it you know where the tear bucket is.

Ain't trolling here. This is New Eden. A place where if you arnt scamming your being scammed. This game (including EVE) thrives with the bad sh*t we do to each other.
Backstabbing, corporate sabotage, and scamming have always been a thing in New Eden and I for one am against changing it. Am I a bad person? Sometimes I can be. This stuff happens a lot and it makes EVE and Dust extremely unique as the devs and GMs allow it to happen.
Also its not considered stealing as you willing gave money. Or do you think the age old 'Prince of Nigera' scam is a form of stealing?
Grow a backbone bro, harden up and embrace New Eden for what it is.
And remember the first two rules of New Eden:
1. Don't use what you can't afford to lose
2. Everything is a scam.

Then stick to your little circle and be safe and not enjoy the darker side of the game, that's on you just keep your QQ wanting to remove the dark side from the game to yourself.
Also these rules have been around for over a decade now since EVE Online was first created. You wouldn't fly a 100mil isk ship if you were only averaging 10mil a month in profit would you? (First rule)
Also contracts in EVE can either be real or a scam so you can't trust them. I've seen contracts where the insurance was higher than what was being delivered and people taking them only to be taken out by pilots hired by the corp/pilot who sent out the contract.
And don't get me started on Jita.
The second rule means that you need to becareful with who you trust in this game. Everything is a scam.

Well I won't bore you with a well thought out response, instead I will link to my alt's old posts because well, I've said this all before, the Open Market is needed in this game.
[Request]One Universe::One Market One Universe::One Market E.V.E./Dust market merger FEEDBACK/REQUEST:what do we need... [Request]P2P trading &/or PVE
I have around 9 pages of market support available to link, but I think this is lots at the moment, surely you missed those threads as I didn't see you comment in them but if you want a player market like Eve's I am all for it, although keep in mind there are plenty of ways to scam with that too.
In the interests of fixing the current issue I believe you to be having (trust) I believe something directly from Eve would be best. Player contracts.
How it works: Player puts item in contract that the other player will receive, as well as a price or item they want in exchange or both. Player taking the contract pays the cost before receiving the item(s).
No trust needed just an understanding of how to read the contracts.
Contract Interface What a contract looks like
This is called using the KISS principal and importing assets on the server already.

I'm not sure but that's where the reading thing comes in, it is less likely for a contract in Dust to be a scam because we are not hauling stuff for people yet...hmm let me load up my freighter and go from Jita to Ammamake... oh whoops.
If you notice though, contracts in Eve have to be somewhat well thought out to make the scams work, like for instance the plex in exchange for a plex and 600mil...

You're not suggesting improvement, you're asking for something they already want to give us.
To all the people claiming the OP is just QQing:
This has nothing to do with scamming, this has nothing to do with EVE Online, this has nothing to do with New Eden or welcoming mercs to it..
The ability to send each other items is the fastest feature they could ship to us, it has no dark agenda to bring scamming to Dust514. If you don't want to take risks, just pretend we still don't have such a feature until ACTUAL buying and selling can become available. This doesn't have to be dramatic.
