If anything, can some one tell me the difference between a Kador Amarr Light SKIN and a Scout ak.0?

FASHION REVIEW

The Legacy suits are all kind of meh, with the exception of the Minmatar medium (the reddish brown is great). The Amarr doesn't look correct, and looks boringly like the current AM assault. EVE AM ships look kind of beige with lots of gold, while this does not.

Kador seems to be darker in Dust than in the EVE pic, but I like dark. I just hope it doesn't look too dark.
Ishukone is good.
Duvolle looks . . . eh. Feels like the brown part should be shiny and splotless, and really accent the dark base of the suit (like they do on the ship), but the light brown parts look dirty because camo print on them.
Thukker scout is very good (though some in the Skype group I am part of disagree. Cat likes it, but Zaria doesn't). My only complaint is that the contrast between the colors of the camo print is a bit too high. I would suggest using brown instead of black, just like the EVE ship does.

Blood raider looks decent, though doesn't capture the bloodstained splotchiness of the EVE ship. Maybe make the print less digital.
Guristas looks good, though once again the contrast looks a bit high for my taste.
Serpentis looks great.
Angel Cartel looks alright, but Minmatar heavies already kind of looks like that, so personally I wouldn't buy it.

Imperial Marine is ugly. The ornate and complex design of Amarr suits doesn't lend itself to such stark black/white coloring. A more in-depth look at the problems with it here.
Republic Marine is alright, very Minmatar, but nothing really stands out about it.
State Marine is good. It looks pretty badass.

I look forward to seeing Nefantar, Krusual, Sarum, Tash-Murkon, Kaalakiota, and Nugoeihuvi. I'm looking for a good Minmatar and Amarr medium, and possibly a Caldari light.

I don't play EVE, so I looked up what they look like in EVE, and was surprised to find out I didn't hate the Imperial Navy EVE look. The EVE version has subtlety to the coloring. It isn't black and white, it's beige and black (sometimes it looks like a dark brown or blueish color). The Dust version goes for maximum contrast at the cost of nuance (seems to be a trend actually).

The Amarr heavy is very complex with lots of layers, pieces, and straps, and the way its just slapped on in such a binary way ignores this complexity instead of complementing. Here is and EVE Imperial Navy ship, and, notice how the deep dark color gradually goes lighter on some of the pieces surrounding the darkest parts, thereby taking advantage of the visual complexity. Likewise, I think it would be better if the Dust version had different shades for different types of pieces, or the cloth portions, etc.

Hey, I know you are one of the fashion moguls so I will answer without being defensive :)

Less stark colors tend to become a wash on the tv screen, that's clearly explained in the blog. Same goes for "in EVE" arguments, these SKINs are inspired by EVE, not just RGB color copies. Thukker and Guristas case in point.

This is our first venture into this realm, and I believe we will learn some things along the way.

Even if Kador looks like AMak.0, you can use the SKIN on any amarr frame of the same size, so increased utility overall. Same with Angel Cartel. Put them on your militia starter fit ;)

The Amarr Marine is, probably like all fashion, split into two camps. I, and everyone who has seen it, loves it. It may need to be seen in better lighting to appreciate the polished onyx of the plates.

Repubic Navy is a tan, light brown and green jungle camo. Not much we can do with it, but I love it because of how big the camo patterns are, and it's probably the first true jungle camo we have.

Duvolle, we based it off an older eve model, and not the new dark copper look.The old model had "dirty" textures on all the colors.

Am legacy is beige, tan and gold, not sure why that's not amarr. The legacy SKINs are meant to be fairly normal and representative for each Empire Faction, not trying to go crazy with these "classics" at all. The Red Minmatar is my favorite too, but since we already had very established gallente (creodron) colors on the weapons, it may be a little normal to some. They are also intended to establish the same color line across vehicles and weapons.

Hope that helps, and I think everyone can find a SKIN they like.

I'm hoping they don't just reskin the already existing federal marine suit.
