Agreed. Dust is not anywhere near perfect, certainly, but those that love it love it a lot. Completely up to you to decide whether it's worth putting your time and effort back into it, but I'm glad you're giving it another chance.

If this Fanfest was any indication, I hope CCP continues to put the focus on the tangible community, rather than hopes and dreams.

(Even if relatively unlikely.) Whereas many of the trailers CCP did, which was your primary material, show unrealistic perceptions of EVE and DUST. The fact there was none at the release of the game is surprising but there is no way it will happen now. Few reasons: 1. The game is making money now. Will putting more money into marketing cause a higher yield than what was put into? 2. "Hey, try out this game that came out two years ago on a system that you have probably moved on from!" Doesn't quite work. 3. Tinfoil time; maybe CCP wants DUST to not be too remembered. If DUST ever transitions to a different system, it might not allow us to bring over our SP and Aurum purchases. Not hyping DUST means that there is potential for us to not be as angry when we get screwed with the industrial auger. 4. More tinfoil; DUST is not a great game. It has gotten some pretty rough reviews. If DUST ever transitions, they might not want people to remember what DUST is. 5. There are so very few people working on this game, the lead QA guy works on several different projects, the only signs of life from our Executive Producer is a group picture from FanFest 15 and I frankly wouldn't be surprised if it was a Weekend at Bernie's thing. Is there enough resource, energy, and will to create a marketing campaign? I don't believe so. "This is B.S! This is B.S! I paid money! Cash money, dollars money, cash money!"
