I was trying out random fits, and when trying to test an armor regen fit, I noticed that as I was running away, tiny amounts of damage would stop my armor regen.
So, all you gallente assault rep tanks out there...do you find your armor regen to be constantly active, or does it only boost up when you're not taking fire?
I was originally under the assumption that armor repairs even during a firefight (similar to how the repair tool works on a teammate getting shot at...of course in bursts obviously), but after what happend the other night I'm curious as to whether or not there is a small delay before the regen actually kicks in after you've been shot at.

I could test it but I'm too busy with Mario Kart atm.
Imagine running away with 200 armor and 25 regen and your armor keeps going down really slowly as they peg you with a submachine gun from like 100 meters...instead of it going up and outrepping the SMG.

If you get shot by a ScP from 200m away and it does 0.00000001 damage... there goes regen.

Yes, your regen stops, but your regen is also often 2x-3x times as powerful. What do you want? Both powerful regen and no delay?

And we all know that this armor meta is why anti shield weapons were buffed.
Also, with armor having the logistical support...
Might barely be a difference 1v1 w/ cover, but... How much freedoms to armor suits get compared to shields? While shield suits have to dedicate lows to reducing delay, armor suits can dedicate highs to killing potential.
Also, with the heavy resource costs for sHP, fitting is much harder.
Which is why I say shield is hardmode...

Suuuuurre. I don't know tbh... Because an effective shield tank have only tank as a choice. These suits at pro come like this:
515-530 sHP 590-630 sHP (rare case) 707 sHP
All with 1.6 delay.
But to get to that, near max resource skills are needed.. Or you'll be stressing on CPU/PG.
Then, if we try utility, our fits are gimped.. Unless it's special fit.
So we can choose utility, but thats giving away precious sHP or sHP/s or delay.

Two different things: your HP at server side and at clinet.
There is no problem to get situation that you lay down with 20 HP left of armor with going up armor regen... but you are count like dead body.
Count lag to case and you get situation as in eve.. you have 'plenty' HP and you can warp out... but boom...
Also client update is limited to 1 sec + lag +animation. Just be more aware and bail out faster.

aHP/s has no delay. But what could happen is that someone shoots you, doing more damage than your repair Rate. Might just be a lil feelin yknow?

And what's the problem with that? 1.6 delay + 50hp/s + 620HP~ (you can get over 600HP and still have 50hp/s) is pretty damn powerful.
You're stressing your suit yes, but on the other hand you can increase your delay slightly for a huge increase in either CPU/PG, allowing you to fit an absurd amount.
