In my opinion the damage bonus for commandos should be racial adequate. To make a example: -Caldari commando should get a damage bonus to: Rail rifles, magsecs, sniper rifles, bolt pistols and swarm launcher (because the swarm launcher is a caldari weapon) Minmatarr commando should have a bonus to minmatarr weaponary: combat rifles, masdrivers, SMG's and flaylocks Gal. commando gets a bonus for gallente weaponary: assault rifles, shotgun, PLC and ion pistol Amarr commando gets a bonus to amarrian weaponary: lasers, scramblers and scrambler pistols Lore wise its currently not correct. Yes i know that swarms are at the moment treated as "explosives" but the caldari are using missiles that deal kinetic damage so bite me. And if you dont believe me then go to the LP stores. The caldari are the only race that have swarm launchers in their LP store. Ya know the galente have their AV weapon matching the approperate suit (plasma cannon) so why on earth should the caldari not get a damage bonus for their swarm launcher? Makes no sense at all. I make the scrubs scream and the vets cry.

I have a Brutus BPO and I wouldn't care one bit , yes I use it for AV but like some have posted before ... they could give MD's a certain percentage against vehicles and that would be alright or how about just the breach mass just for AV / infantry . I have specked into all commando's and like them all , the Gal is my favorite suit but it was crazy to keep seeing the swarms in the Cal LP but to not have the bonus . They could have at least changed that if they wanted to keep the present format . Edit : Maybe CCP thought about the three highs and swarms and herd the screams of the vehicle community in their sleep ? Four damage mods is just overkill . They would have to cut that bonus if they did transfer that bonus . Doubts are like flies and should be treated as such and crushed . #PubsShouldBeRandomPlayers

I wouldn't demand a respec but I would be pissed that a suit had a large part of its bonuses removed because the weapon it was boosting is broken and the choice was made to change the suit instead of the actual cause. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Minmatar bonus applying to swarms (aside from the lore thing), the issue is with the swarms themselves. The reason you're fine with the PLC bonus is because the PLC is difficult to use. If the Swarms were also difficult to use, it would not be problematic. EDIT: Besides, the real benefit for the Commando with Swarms is the reload bonus, it makes the sustained damage go through the roof. That change gives the weapon back to the calmando, and also gives drop ships a slightly easier time of it thanks to the fpdamage profile becoming more balanced. That change then paves the way for the breach MD to become AV focused, functioning as a faster-firing PLC with some limited suppression power. Dedicated Commando. The problem is that we are still missing racial weapons and this is probably the reason some suits have wrong bonuses. The day Minmartar/Amar gets there own light av weapons I'm sure they also want bonus to that instead of the one they have. The same goes for some heavy suits/weapons. The only one that really sticks out as WRONG to me is the Minmatar scout nova knive bonus, they ALWAYS had a sidearm (SMG's was in closed beta) and they also have the flaylock now, So why the hell do they get bonus to Caldari nova knives ???

Example: at level 5 min keeps 10% bonus to projectiles but loses 5% for explosive damage calmando gets an additional 5% damage to explosives. galmando gets an additional 5% bonus to rail weapon damage Amarrmando gets an additional 5% bonus to projectiles Amarr one im not sure about, but the fact that the min gets a bonus to 2 weapon types and the others only get one sucks.
