That's because loyalty rank, as a metric, is terrible because the best thing you can do for it is to buy AUR.
If it were based off WP or something instead, that would be much better.

I wish there was some way to verify players who have been subscribed to EVE and give them some nice LR boost depending on how long they have played.
I played EVE for just around three years and I'd say I've given CCP a rather decent amount of money (I never PLEX'ed my account). Plus it means that I'm no noob at trading or knowing about scams, so I clearly don't need any trade "protection."
Edit: I feel like this should be technically possible. Just provide your email you used for your EVE subscription and then you will get a verification email that you would need to respond to. CCP should have knowledge of how long you have played / been subscribed for.

Everyone here is playing/interacting with the game in some way. Loyalty can't be based just off that. I know if someone is enjoying my car as a free ride wherever we go pitching in no gas ever at all ( but loves to say where we should go and what to do), and another friend always wants to pitch in either with gas or food/drinks while figuring out what we should do..he is more loyal in my book.
ok, that was a weird comparison ..I wouldn't judge friendship loyalty that way...but I hope in some way that kinda made sense a little to some like it did at first to me. |

If that was the case , i'd be a lvl 15 full of giddyness jumping up and down at all the perks. Then every person who never played Eve, or like gaming on pc , would come in and rage hard at the neckbeards who cheated them somehow

If you offered your car as a free ride you cannot really turn around and demand money afterwards. It is mighty kind of your friend to give you money but your other friend is not in the wrong for assuming that the ride is indeed free. This analogy reflecting CCP and DUST, not really your example per say.
F2P games offer items that people wish to buy to create revenue and thatGÇÖs fine. Almost all of my AUR has gone into BPOGÇÖs as I see value in them and I want to have them. CCPGÇÖs new tactics have become more aggressive and I find that quite distasteful. Denying access to player trading from someone who has played the game for two years is incredibly rude. We need those players even if they have not financially supported CCP, without players thereGÇÖs nothing to pay for. This game is dead when people stop playing it.

Simple solution: Loyalty Rank determines the tier of goods that can be traded. Loyalty Rank 1 = Basic/Standard gear Loyalty Rank 2 = Enhanced/Advanced gear Loyalty Rank 3 = Complex/Proto gear Loyalty Rank 4 = Faction-specific gear (non-BPO) Loyalty Rank 5 = Aurum gear Loyalty Rank 6 = Boxes/Keys/Boosters/etc. Loyalty Rank 7 = BPOs (including APEX)
For the record, I'm currently at level 4 and likely will be for a long, long time.

Can you imagine the amount of tickets CCP is going to get from bogus trades?

I'll answer that question with another question.
Can you imagine the amount of tickets CCP will ignore from people complaining about bogus trades?
