It's times like these when I wonder if the matchmaking is broken or if our playerbase are a bunch of risk averse pansies...
Play your matches, lose and yeah maybe even get stomped. Your mu score will adjust accordingly and place you in matches with players more your skill level. There's no shame in it.
There is shame in AFK'ing though. Why play the game at all? Just quit and be done with it.

Fighting in cheap/free fittings > jerking off in the MCC
Sometimes you are the lion. Sometimes you are the gazelle. If you happen to spawn in as a gazelle be sure to kill at least a few lions before they murder you.
Oh hell, I'm wasting my time here aren't I? You are going to sit in a puddle of your own piddle in the red line ground spawn regardless of what I say here.

It isn't smart to post a picture of how you jury rigged your controller to AFK. Pretty certain CCP frowns on that in a big way. Rattati hates it, if I can recall.

Aeon Amadi wrote:Like I honestly care at this point. If he wants me to play the game, he'll look at that as a sign of something seriously being wrong. He'll look at it as a sign of an inflated mu score, more than likely. It may taken some time, and a lot of tears and badposting, but your mu will level out and you'll be right as rain...
Assuming you actually participate in matches ever.

At least I don't AFK, which is a big plus. When I am getting stomped I figure out ways to stay in the match and participate.

One of my matches yesterday, and I played 4. Played at least that many earlier in the week. Not sure where you are getting 88 kills from, but it isn't accurate.

Talk about them, yes, absolutely. Post screen caps of the matches. Send emails to Rattati for review.
Promote AFKing? No. Heeellll no.

I still see AFKers...they are just afking and playing on their PS4s... Your my score is probably on par with your actual skill level then.

Aeon Amadi wrote:I got better things to do than to try and convince you, an insignificant speck on the map who I have never once seen in a match - let alone fought, that I actually play this game.
Keeping trolling though, sure it'll get you out of that basement eventually. I saw you once. You red line sniped the entire time. Then, in my corp recruitment thread, you asked to join us if you could red line snipe I told you no.
Aeon Amadi wrote:Ripley Riley wrote:Then we must decline, as sniping is literally [Austrian-born German politician and the leader of the **** Party]. I care. I just don't believe the approach you are taking is at all what Dust needs right now.
You aren't an idiot, even if you are stubborn. You could probably put together some data for Rattati to review. Instead you choose to cross your arms and not play because you think it isn't fair.

Just wanting to point this point, since we now have a devblog discussing matchmaking improvements.
Devblog wrote:To be absolutely certain, we have taken the steps to correlate this value with a number of skill ratios, such as KDR (Kill Death Ratio) and WP/D (War Points per Death Ratio), and finally W/L (Win Loss Ratio) and are certain of the systemGÇÖs merit. KDR - Can be increased to absurd levels by redline sniping. WP/D - Keeping your death count low by avoiding combat via sniping would also inflate this ratio... W/L - In this post you state that you ran squads with RnD/Negative Feedback folks which may have upped this ratio too. By sniping the ratio may have leveled out. For argument sake, I'll pretend you are "average" in this particular ratio.
That's 2 out of 3 indicators of player skill being artificially increased.
Your mu score is controlled by your actions. Perhaps one of the reasons some players are not experiencing issues with the matchmaking improvements and other are not is due to their predilection for low risk, high reward playstyles.
If that is the case, then AFK'ing will not solve your problem, Aeon. It might lower your W/L ratio, but your KDR and WP/D stay the same.
You will have to fit a non-sniper rifle and get into the fight. Pick up some newer players and squad with them. Teach them what you know and be 100% ready to die a bunch. Initially the matches may be stomps, but as your mu score adjusts itself you will be put into more and more balanced matches.
That is my attempt at not-in-any-way-trolling-completely-sincere advice. Good luck and godspeed.

Aeon Amadi wrote:Yeah, you are trolling because you wont get off the ******* sniper rifle redline AFK bs dude.
Again, watch my youtube videos. Watch my stream for once in your life. Read something I post other then those cherry picked threads. Talk to people who I roll with. They'll tell you a completely different story and maybe, just maybe, you can look at this objectively. If you are being pitted against entire squads then your mu score is high. The exact reason for it being high is debatable, but it is. This means you fall into the upper echelon of players in terms of skill. In most online games you would be demographic seeking "end game content".
For Dust 514, the closest thing we have to end game content is FW and PC.
If you completely object to what I am proposing you do in public contacts then migrate to FW and PC. I'm sure you know PC does not have matchmaking. According to CCP AquarHEAD in this thread, you will not have to worry about lopsided teams in FW as it attempts to gather a full 16v16 for every match when possible.
TL;DR - Leave public contracts to the low and mid-tier players, like me. Graduate to the more competitive gamemodes such as FW and PC.
