10/10 performance.
The matchmaking works,if you are: A new player, a average player or a scrub at this game. If you are in veteran tier the matchmaking system has a tendency to **** you up.
I never liked pubs before but jesus christ, I abhor them now.
Sgt, you've touched on an interesting point, and I may gradually agree with you as I continue playing the matches. The new matchmaking system SEEMS to create a place for the general players to settle into a groove, see their leaderboard results rise five notches higher than they used to be, and repetitively enjoy their matches. But it MAY also create a rut instead of a groove, where those players who are able to face more challenging fights---or WANT to have more challenging fights,GǪ are going to find themselves stuck in teams that have the same "numbers" as you, but are rubbish when it comes to tactics and battle-sussing.
Tactics and Sussing skills are the things Matchmaking can't measure---and yet are the things that make you wish you were in a more Vet-rich environment. I'm NOT a veteran-level player, just advanced, and already I'm starting to feel the "repetitive" outcomes of my matches. Mostly wins, yes, but even the wins are beginning to finish like clones of each other. Same place on the Board, same clone reserve spread, with few surprise moments anymore, and much fewer pitch battle standouts than before March.
Is "balance" going to create matches that are too sterile and neutered for a portion of the community to get excitement from? Maybe FW matches shouldn't have the same matchmaking system, so players can "ascend" to FWs for rougher engagements (and PC of course should be zero-matchmaking). Sometimes I want to praise the matches where our side has 8 fewer players than theirs--at least it creates some interesting events sometimes.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...
