Interested to get merc feedback on this one.
This is an idea that may help alleviate some of the problems when waiting a long time in queue to find a battle.
If Scotty is waiting a long time to find a battle to throw your squad into because your combined Mu is too high, then Scotty will split your squad into two equal parts and queue them as separate squads. The end result would be that you would face some of your squad mates on the opposing team.
Now I know those wanting to practice tactics together as a squad will take a hit here, and others will rightfully not want this because the whole point is to play with your mates, BUT.....if it helped with matchmaking...I dunno, for me it would be a blast, I love fighting people I know, even when I think they will wipe the floor with me 1 v 1.
Hopefully this wouldn't happen all the time, but I think *not* finding a battle after waiting x minutes is *the* fastest way to lose players.
So fellow mercs - disgusting idea? Awesome idea? This won't work because....? etc.? |

Hmmmm ... if squad Mu's making Scotty's job difficult, I'd vote for 4 man squads before I'd vote for wiring Scotty up with a surprisebuttsex button.
Shoot scout with yes.

Fighting against your friends is super fun sometimes. With that said, it's usually a lot more fun when it's an occasional surprise or intentional. I think everyone should give it a go from time to time for the heck of it. Usually lots of story tiem right after.
With that said I agree with Adipem, 4 man squads first might be ideal, easier building blocks.

Hmmm good points. I guess smaller squads to begin with achieves the same thing without the will he wont he.
However bearing in mind some of the vehement opposition to smaller squads...would Splitty (Scotty's alter-ego) achieve the best of both worlds by allowing six in a bed unless matchmaking wasn't possible +áfter x minutes?
This change could also apply to any size of squad we might manage in the future. Think of how current matchmaking might struggle to match up say, a 10-man squad?
[edit] By 10-man squad I guess i mean a form of team deploy involving two squads |
