The scam I foresee is sending items to random people, then trying to sully their name, or get them banned for not paying for goods tendered. All kinds of new trolling methods will arise.

Good rule of thumb while using this trading method:
1) only trade with ppl u trust (still risky)
2) do small trades (you have a 100 thales sniper rifles but still do 5 or 10 at a time, reciting payout each time)
3) do it at your own risk

what part of gifting items is trading? trading = an exchange of items between two people, not my sending items to a merc in high hopes

Ah, yeah, there's that. That's why there will be no policing of trading. Entirely at your own risk.
