Based on comment CCP Rattati made about Active Boosters and what if it was per battle. You can read other feedback here: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2722115#post2722115
With that in mind. Can you take the following survey about the type of booster you would like: http://strawpoll.me/4115214
Additional questions if you would like to answer:
- Are you currently purchasing active boosters? why or why not?
- Have you ever purchased an active booster?
- Have you ever used an active booster?
- What do you think about active boosters?
CCP Rattati wrote:Hawkings Greenback wrote:Pokey Dravon wrote:Boosters in general should move away from being time based and more on straight instead to earnable LP/SP. What about number of Battles?

Are you currently purchasing active boosters? why or why not? I am not. Why? Because life happens. Sometimes I will only play a single match a night for a couple weeks because of work or family. I am not getting my best bang for my buck when I buy active boosters.
Have you ever purchased an active booster? Yes. 1 or 3 day varieties.
Have you ever used an active booster? Yes.
What do you think about active boosters? They are useful for short events or marathoning Dust one weekend. I have no idea why anyone would buy the 7 and 30 day boosters though.

Depends on my needs. If I were still in high school, I would say the time one because I'd be able to get as many as I could during a weekend or break.
As an adult, I'd say the battles one. Currently, I have a lot of my plate and a seemingly free weekend may turn into something else all of a sudden.
Conclusion: Battle Boosters
Edit: I have purchased and used active boosters, yes. I haven't bought one recently, and I still have a few leftover which include a few omega. The only one I really use are the passive boosters if I have them since they don't require my attention. |

How about a time based "X" battle amount booster.
So it's still the same as it is now, but it's capped at how many battles you are able to do before its gone?

Are you currently purchasing active boosters? why or why not? I never do unless it there is an event or a sale on Omegas. I stock up on omegas during the sale, then use on events.
Have you ever purchased an active booster? Yes, Omegas only.
Have you ever used an active booster? Yes during events, or on the rare occasion i'm home for a weekend alone feel like crushing Dust all day.
What do you think about active boosters? I think they are ok, but the fact that myself and i'm sure other players, i don't know if i will have time to play when I get home, so when I activate an ACTIVE booster, I better be home to get my money's worth. Because of this, I avoid them. Not worth the risk..

Are you currently purchasing active boosters? why or why not? Yes- although FW LP boosters. Because grinding LP takes forever
Have you ever purchased an active booster? Other than FW, not directly, although they have been included in Aurum packs I've bought.
Have you ever used an active booster? Yes
What do you think about active boosters? Once you get used to the extra SP, losing the bonus they provide is disappointing.

Until they fix our Scotty-inflicted geworfenheit, a win/loss condition doesn't solve the problem with a battle booster. At the moment, I'd prefer a fixed SP amount, so I'd know what I was getting for my money. Maybe different tiers, like 50/75/100% Cap.

With the current boosters quitting before the end forfeits the sp and isk gain only - with an X matches booster quitting still forfeits isk and sp but saves a boosted game for a better boosting opportunity. Maybe I'm wrong but folks go a long way to maximise efficiency and anything that encourages quitting matches should be considered very carefully. |

6 million is a lot of sp in one week. Realistically only try hards with little to no life will use it to their advantage. I personally don't care. Maybe 2 active boosters max.
New slot if new type of booster comes out.
And can we please kill the orange bubble asking is to spend money on this game. I will spend money if I want to. Maybe make that a feature for new players only. I will pay to not have that bubble in my face. Please remove the orange notification bubble. |

Are you currently purchasing active boosters? why or why not?
I have in the past when I had more dedicated time to focus to Dust for large chunks of play. However due to life situation I often cannot dedicate enough time reliably to make active boosters be worth it. I could purchase 1 days boosts but even then its difficult to justify the price for the benefit, and I much prefer to buy in bulk to get bulk discounts, but again I often cannot play in a reliable enough manner to justify a time-based Booster.
Have you ever purchased an active booster?
Yes. Both normal and omega, but not anymore.
Have you ever used an active booster?
I will use the ones I get from boxes/daily rewards.
What do you think about active boosters?
I would much prefer something that is not time-based, may it be total bonus SP or battle linked.
On the topic of concerns over battle-based boosters and backing out/disconnects....one way you could reliably handle it are "Instant Booster Credits" where you can purchase Instant Boosters with AUR that can be used at your leisure. This means that the bonus is only applied upon completion of the match on the EOM screen, and would allow players flexibility (ie not wanting to use a booster on a battle that was not very SP rich). Obviously the big difference between this and what currently have (buying them a la carte) is that you could buy in bulk and get a discount per booster that way.
Costco Boosters are Best Boosters.

I 100% agree. I have continued to support this game by buying boosters of all types. I admittedly, by 30 day active boosters for casual play but having a career, a wife and kids. My casual play usually turns into 3 hr grind fest in which I activate three one day boosters. Recently I have began to question active boosters and more so FW boosters.
We purchase a one day boosters to receive 24 hours of boosted game time, the reality is that you need to sleep, this is at least 4 hrs lost. Long queue times could mean , in extreme cases can be 24 minutes lost waiting for a match. No to mention some game modes have high incidence of lag and removing players from matches. On the high end getting removed from a match could be 25 minutes lost on the low in 7 minutes. My question , is it fair to in this case to lose out on boosted time. I think battle boosters is an excellent idea, I get booster per battle and it allows me to spend my aurum on other stuff or more boosters . Although as a business model , CCP knows that people like me have the money and will pay 5 bucks for 3 boosters for 3 hrs of boosted pay. Touche to you guys and your business model!
I think that we the paying customer , and more so the returning paying consumer need these options. We want to feel included in game play and game play options . Right now it feels like a penalty , not only do I Spend 400 to 500 on dust a year but most of the stuff I get I only use about 8% , if we consider boosters, I know that I am not a lot either . Its stupid, yes but I believe in the game but CCP could definitely be kind to us and our pocket books or kinder at least :-).

Anecdotally, a person with disposable time will want to invest in a time based booster. This population is usually not the working population. They benefit from time based booster system . At the same time. I am interested in what population is working and plays dust regardless of country . I believe , with no objective data, that the working man is buying the majority of boosters and this is the population we want to sate . Battle boosters benefit us and drives us to spend money and by more boosters. I am also aware that dust is good at the " cash grab" because you can buy aurum with 2 bucks. You don't have to be a working man for two bucks. |

I'd rather see the active boosters become "instant boost packs" that let you choose which battles you want to apply them towards. Sell 'em in packs of 10, 20, etc. and give them something like a week-long duration from when they're activated for you to use your boosts.
