How many of you see them as officer weapons, the specialist proto LP weapons with reduced CPU and PG costs, they allow suits to fit more proto mods or grenades etc.
Do you see it as making a suit perform as highly as a proto suit with a officer weapon, but performing slightly differently at a higher level?
I just noticed I can buy 1 every 30 minutes, if I lose 1 FW match every 30 minutes. |

I don't. They're just regular proto weapons, but with less fitting requirements. Nothing special.
At least, not for me. All it allows me to do, is fit a nanohive, but I don't want to because it's not Gallente. Rather have an Active Scanner, but I would go over PG. I just use it for FW RP.
EDIT: I want a Federation Specialist Creodron Ion Pistol. |

No I consider them overpriced.
If I remember correctly they are 210 LP each. That's way too much in my opinion.
A proto suit is 155 LP which is worth it, even at lower faction levels.
But not the weapons for that price.

i really want my lv 10 mfw to mean something . i also think house gear (fw) should be a tad better then the gear we normal use . maybe drop all damage by 3% but let fw stay the way it is or something . or lv 10 grant special skills that you can only have if your 10 . they cease to work if you go out of lv 10 . special skills that would reflect the faction you fight for . also harder cap on fighting opponent fw . so if i fight for mfw and switch to afw ,a harder hit on your standing

They are good if you want to tickle the max out of your suit. The reason why they are good is that you can get a infinite supply of them from FW. Where as officer/experimental weapons its pure luck if you get them from salvage/stronboxes/exp. labortory. When player trading comes out i think one specialist weapon can go for like 100~120k ISK.
However the regular modules like shield extenders, plates etc. are in my opinion not worth paying LP. If they where a tick better then regular modules like for example a proto shield extender gives 77HP instead of 66HP then people would buy them. Not OP better but surely better then your regular ISK/AUR module.

Officer Experimental LP Proto with less PG/CPU Requirements LP Specialist Proto with less Skill Requirements Proto (Requires 'Advanced' Weapon 5) Officer Experimental LP Proto with less PG/CPU Requirements LP Specialist Proto with less Skill Requirements Proto (Requires Weapon 5)
Though possibly the lower level Officer wouldn't be weaker than the 'basic' weapon that requires Advanced Weapon 1 so some shuffling is needed. Still, it is a thing that is probably long way down the road and I simply don't see it happening with DUST "as we have it today."

Experimental is the improved prototype you create with the warbarge experimental lab.
Experimental is the tier between prototype and officer.

In english they mean more or less the same but in this game ccp has used them to represent different tiers of weaponry:prototype would be silver experimental would be gold, and officer would be platinum.

Some are more useful than others depending on fit - the specialist flaylock is a godsend on a min scout as it has 0 pg. Although this weapon on not lp I just remembered. |
