I cant justify spending any more money on the game. Yes I enjoy playing it, but it's not the game I was promised it would be. Dust is not exactly AAA quality and unfortunately on the PS3 at least it never will be.

The Quafe packs are nice, but without player trading, they're kind of useless. I doubt it's even about "being poor" as some put it, but about wanting something that's actually worth $75. That's more than a brand new triple A game. Bloodbourne is cheaper than that, and it's a PS4 game! Dust needs a little more content (More skins or BPO's or something) before it's actually going to be worth spending that kind of money on this game in a single purchase. However, I would say a 30 day active and passive booster which is worth about 10 dollars, is also a bonus in the Veteran pack.That's not the point I was trying to make though. My point is that it is a hell of a thing to have the highest Aurum items get the discount. It is pushing people rather aggressively to purchase those higher packages. To me, it is 'more greedy' than the last deal. Every sale exists to push people towards buying things. CCP isn't "doing us a favor" by having these sales, at least not really. The reason it exists is to sell the merchandise. That is totally fine. However, it is kind of sad that the big announcement at FanFest for DUST is "Hey, it is profitable!" and then follow with a sale with the highest priced package they offer. Nothing really wrong about it, just seems to me that it is a bit greedy. If we had an idea that the profit from DUST is being put into DUST or that DUST will be further developed, I wouldn't have too much to say. Just my opinion and feeling is all. "This is B.S! I get the feeling that this sale and the LP event* are an attempt to keep up the Dust profitability for a reason. I couldn't say what that reason is, but I would imagine it has to do with the future of an FPS set in the New Eden universe. So you say "greedy" while I say "increasing CCP's Legion development budget". Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just a sale for sale's sake. It's just like when they put out the omega boosters for the 2nd time way back in the day. The first time, they put it out was at a reasonable price. The second time they put out a 7 day omega booster for like $68K AUR. It was ridiculous......so instead of buying multiple omegas at the time (which would have been more than spending for one), I bought zero. If CCP wants to make money they should be smart about it. I mean, what is the cost to them if they put out a sale that would appeal to more players? In the end...they are getting more $$$ and we are earning more sp. I had my bank statement open at the time of my last posting and just set the filter for sony purchases since I've started playing, subtracting purchases of games. Regarding the level of spending, given the amount I've played, it's really not that much. I've spent more on a nice dinner and lost more in a single hand of cards, so ~2 years of inconsistent entertainment is a relative bargain.

This...and let's face it how many games offer the "buy this goodie for the free character skin/design/look/etc" deal. I swear there's probably one former employee of Activision at every company that is at the coffee table saying "hey if we make a special costume for players and sell it for $5 we'll make a sh*tload of money" and everyone agrees to do it.... At some point SP's won't matter to some veterans who have enough or more than what they know what to do with but never underestimate the desire to look good when making a kill

I have money to spend but I find it hard to justify spending -ú50 here, -ú80 there in one go for the big packs of stuff yet I will quite happily spend like -ú10--ú20 a week on other smaller packs and aurum. This 25% thing is a start I suppose but its unlikely to even be tempting to the vast majority. They should do more snapshot, short time, big promotions or tie in more cool things with the next update to really make us want to buy packs, buy aurum etc.. starting at the small end of the microtransaction scale and working up. I spend enough keeping her happy too... I have a job in marketing and promotions. My job is somewhat related to the topic I posted about. It's not about being poor or rich kid.
