June 2013 - Chapter 1: New Beginnings
With eyes new to the world around her, Natalie looked at the battle finder in consideration. She was a girl afraid to start anything she couldn't finish. Afraid of leaving things unresolved, but she decided she was being silly. Nothing to fear. Who knows, it may be a waste of time, but she wasn't going to waste that promotion code that she got with her PS3 either.
She went to the market and looked at all of the weapons, disregarding the stats and using the glorious gold currency known as aurum on some farsight sniper rifles. Faith renewed, she walked up to the battle finder and finally clicked X. No going back...
As her clone transported into the MCC warbarge she saw many other mercenaries giving her a once over. She felt the strange urge to punch something but there was no button for that.
She looked at the timer... 32 seconds left of dodging unwanted warbarge ****.
Finally, she entered the MCC and deployed onto district V. Dropping out of the MCC, she felt the wind hit her skin through her Dropsuit. She had almost forgot she even existed beneath the hard layers of leather and hard metal she was encased in. She could see how easy it would be to forget she was a person.
Descending More rapidly than she anticipated, she grew dangerously bold with every meter she gained and waited until she was almost touching the ground to activate her inertia dampener. She now knew what she came here for... To start a revolution. Natalie Herondale would be a force to be reckoned with... A rebel.

July 2013 - Climbing Trees Do In Fact Take Skill
It had been a month.
A month of continuous sexual harassment in the warbarge before every match.
It turned out farsight sniper rifles weren't going to cut it. Every time Natalie went to take a shot her gun kicked back ridiculously. This was DUST 514? Not what she was expecting.
Natalie saw the bar for her local chat flashing. Raising her eyebrow, she wondered if anyone on this game was for real. She studiously ignored it after laughing to herself over the random banter and then looked at her charts. With a heavy sigh, she went through the weapons. What could be fun? She read the descriptions and nothing else. This is a video game. Her philosophy was that if she wanted to read she would just go to the library again and pick out some more books. No. Enough of that. She was here to play.
Hmmm... Shotguns? Without any further hesitation she deployed info a match after fitting her suit. If shotgunning is the same as in every other game this should be a close range, stealth, one-shot type of combat. She reasoned if she could only improve her situational awareness and her aim that would be a good start...
This game was far more difficult than she imagined but that's what she liked about it. Apparently she was playing against real players. Not robots. Meaning there was some actual thought behind her opponent's actions in the game. That was new and exciting. A skill tree? She didn't understand it, but she figured it would all eventually come together as she continued to play.

July 2013 - 1 Week Later: The Respec she Never Knew She Had
Logging into DUST, she accepted the terms and waited for the data to synchronize. 40,000 people were on the server? Where was everyone? Not nearly so many people talked in the chat. She didn't understand.
The game finished loading and she went into the next screen and was amazed at what she saw. Holy crap! There must have been some reward or something. She had 1 million skill points to spend! This wasn't there last night...
She didn't queston her gift and went on to happily spend it.. She refused to make any mistakes this time.
Natalie decided that placing level 1 in everything was the best idea... How could she go wrong?
Level 1 plasma cannons... She never felt more overpowered.
She was sure she would soon be rising above the other more experienced players with her out-of-this-world intuition.
Glancing at the Local chat, she scrunched up her face in confusion as she remembered those 40,000 players
But where were they?

August 2013 - What are Corporations?
Natalie fired her last shot, but missed the mark and went flying backwards as a red guy killed her. Sighing, she re spawned and went back to work. After a couple more deaths and a kill assist the battle finally ended. Not surprisingly her team was defeated. Shoulders slumped, she respawned directly into her Mercenary Quarters. She was sad for the state. Every time the Caldari lost a ship was another dent in the bank. Besides that, she had failed her mission. Keeping the peace was all that remained for them.
As she laid down on her bed and continued to beat herself up over her failures a letter made it's way through the open slot and into her mailbox. She got Mail? Who could be writing her? What did they want?
She made her way over to her mailbox and opened the letter curious and ready to read its contents.
"Want to join our corp?"
Now more confused than ever she responded,
"What's a corp?"

Natalie waited for a response and deployed info battle. She was the type of girl go check mail In game...
Sometimes sacrifices had to be made.
She looked down mid stride as a letter transport tube made its way through the mail slot of her dropsuit. Releasing the port, she quickly opened it and her eyes widened as she learned about corporations.
Natalie finished reading, but she was too late. One of the red people got to her before she could finish and she held up her fist and glared at the screen in outrage as her clone effectively bled out. What type of game DIDNT have a pause feature? My his was getting old and she only had so much patience...
The battle continued and she thought about what the person had told her. You can have online friends? Was this guy for real? Her mother warned her about pedi' sand she had watched Dateline. Plus, why did he want her in his corp anyways? He didn't know her. Speaking of which, how did he even know to send her mail? This was all very confusing. But no one was going to get over on her...
"Why do you want me in your corp? I don't get it."
She waited and received a touching response that only she would later understand to be standard recruitment mail that usually no one means. Well, maybe one day she would make her own corporation and keep hers.
For now, her main concern was going pro. Enough of being a Noob...

The problem with you was that you didn't act like a friend. And before leaving I was told by everyone that I was an idiot to think you were my actual friend.
Remember that time we were playing Destiny SoTa? My friend whom I didn't get to talk to for months told me he was listening to how you talked to me and originally thought "This isn't how a friend treats another friend. This is how a person talks to someone they legitimately hate."
So, you can stop playing games with me and stop pretending. Yes, I asked you that. Why? Because there is a part of me that wants everyone to love me even if I don't love them like that.
Note that if I loved you as more I would have never blocked you. Why? I never once blocked Heimdallr. I told him I did per instructions from Emblackout.
I loved you as a friend, but you just didn't reciprocate. Besides all that you didn't want me leaving corp, but expected me to take your crap, then when I left you blocked me and said I was a horrible person. Then you hacked into my account and left my character with 47,000 ISK. Not all of that was the corp wallet, but about 7 mil was from my own person. And the ISK isn't even what mattered so much as you went onto an account you didn't have permission to go on while I was at work and left me with nothing. Which, if I know you at all, I would account these actions to your paranoia that I wouldn't return the funds. Which I had planned to do later that night. But am I supposed to be responsible for your paranoia? I'm paranoid about trusting people but I don't let that be an excuse to treat them poorly and disrespect them, especially my friends. I even had to remake my facebook because you had talked about getting into it before and that's probably how you logged into my main considering I never gave you the password to it. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have cared as much but when they told me black ice logged online too I had enough.

You know what irritating the most about this statement? She spent like 30 minutes bitching at me about how her character online is the same as the one in real life. I haven't been able to get as much PC experience as I have wanted unfortunately. Some have considered me a great scout... meh.
