In pub matches you can block the MCC missiles both from the MCC and from friendly null cannons effectively blocking your team from being able to deal damage to the enemy MCC.
This only works where friendly fire is turned OFF. Also you should only try it against enemy missiles if you want to see a really cool explosion. |

Thats what I mean. You just have to do it to friendly MCC missiles. I was able to slow damage output significantly and hurt my team pretty good in a 4 point skirm that we only had 2 points. |

I think it's more of an issue in pc than it is in pubs. Corps that have practically unlimited funds can throw as many dropships as they want at it to get ahead on mcc damage.

Next I will be testing if you can actually stand on top of the null cannon in a heavy suit and block them. If someone is bored and can test before I get back online that would be awesome.
If 4 members of the team could AWOX a pub stomp by just standing on top of the null cannons we may just have something here.
Oh and for the record this is actually not an exploit. It is friendly fire working as intended with a slight manipulation for pissing people off. |

You are attacking the problem from the wrong side, think MCC rather than cannons. When it works and you look at the killfeed you will lol

Honestly guys, we've known this since early in the beta, and while hilarious, it's never been a problem except for some extremely high stakes corp battles back then.
Too much effort, not enough reward. Carry on.

So on a handful of maps you maybe get 1 ir in extremely rare cases two dudes wasting clones and time trying to block a shot or 3.
Statistics put it at a ridiculously small chance that this makes a effing bit of difference.
And im sure the PC crowd is lining up at the gate to do it.

With 3 Myrofibs, you can jump onto a null cannon and block a shot. If it is under your teams control, damage will not register.
You become an easy target depending on the map.

The only circumstance where intercepting null cannon shots is a viable option is in a close PC match where the outcome is still up in the air, but there is insufficient time to flip a letter. In these cases, I think a suicide DS mission is a fun option to have. I've been in a couple PCs where this may have tipped the balance in our favor. The amount of effort and coordination required to block null cannon/MCC shots on a regular basis just isn't worth it. If you're capable of doing so, you also have to be capable of holding points while down several players (and most likely wasting clones). If you are capable of holding points while down several players, then it follows you are a capable of winning without needing to resort to blocking null cannons. |

So, as none of you have though enough about this, here is how to do it properly.
Block the point at which the MCC missile hits the top of your MCC. If you do this with a dropship, the burning hull will block further damage.
A clone will also do it in a pinch.

I have actually been toying with throwing equipment on top of the null cannon. It seems to get the missile to detonate IF you can get the link to stick which I have only pulled off twice.

Good PC corps would never lower themselves to flying up there to block MCC missiles in order to win all the time. If so then shame on them. I know the old PC players wouldn't because we come as far as to a stop cease fire flaylock agreement but yall wouldnt know anything about that.

I know the old PC players wouldn't because we came as far as to create a stop cease fire flaylock agreement among corps because of how OP it was in pc. but yall wouldnt know anything about that. and the only corps that broke that agreement were the small scrub corps desperate for a win.
All the older experienced corps didn't break it.
That cease-flaylock fire agreement also made it into a game magazines review of dust explaining how broken the game is (which is lol-sad). I'll try to find that article.
